Abstract

Lack of knowledge and attitudes about HIV/AIDS towards premarital sexual behavior results in the birth of a generation with HIV/AIDS. Adolescents who have deviations from sexual behavior that cause high rates of HIV/AIDS can lead to poor quality of life and low human resources (HR) in the country. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about HIV/AIDS towards premarital sexual behavior in class XI students at SMAN 5 Serang City in 2023. The research design was correlative analytic with a cross sectional survey time approach. The sample was calculated using the slovin calculation formula as many as 110 respondents from a total population of 258 class XI students. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling using purposive sampling according to the consideration of the researcher. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability from previous researchers and modified into "close ended questions" statements then created using a google form without email login. The results of the research are P Value (0.881) p > 0.05 meaning that there is no significant or significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about HIV/AIDS on premarital sexual behavior in class XI students at SMAN 5 Kota Serang.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the relationship between the effectiveness of "CERDIK" behavior (Health Check, Get Rid of Cigarette Smoke, Diligent Physical Activity, Balanced Diet, Get Enough Rest, and Manage Stress) in efforts to control hypertension in productive age in the Jombang Health Center Working Area of Cilegon City in 2023. The study used quantitative methods with descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional design types of research. The study population involved hypertensive patients of productive age recorded in the working area of the Jombang Health Center, Cilegon, with a total of 30 patients. Data collection was conducted through interviews and questionnaire filling. The p values of the independent t-test are 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, and 0.000, respectively for Education, Knowledge, Family Support, Eliminating Cigarette Smoke and Diligent Physical Activity. The results of statistical analysis show a relationship between these variables in respondents' behavior with hypertension control at productive age. There were significant differences in diastolic and systolic blood pressure between the group that underwent the "CERDIK" behavior and the group that did not. The group that adopted the "DODGY" behavior had lower blood pressure. The conclusion of this study is that "SMART" behavior has an important role in controlling hypertension in productive age. Therefore, health education resources and efforts need to be increased, especially in groups with less education, to increase awareness and application of "SMART" behaviors. This research contributes to understanding the importance of healthy behavior in controlling hypertension in productive age. The increasing prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia and its significant impact shows the urgency of increasing health awareness and education in the community.

Abstract

Hypertension is still the most common health problem experienced by the world's population. Hypertension is a condition of a person who has systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥90 mmHg. The high prevalence of hypertension in the elderly group is caused because with age, resulting in a decrease in physiological functions of the body, so that non-communicable diseases begin to appear. Hypertension control behavior is the main thing to prevent complications, such as stroke, coronary heart disease, and kidney failure. This study aims to determine the factors associated with elderly behavior in controlling hypertension. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. Independent variables are gender, education level, lifestyle. While the dependent variable is the control behavior of hypertension in the elderly. The population of all hypertensive patients recorded in the Banten Girang Health Center work area in 2023. The sample number of 100 people was selected by purposive random sampling. Statistical test using Chi square test with 95% CI and logistic regression test. The results of statistical tests showed that sex and education variables did not have a significant relationship with hypertension control behavior in the elderly (p > 0.05), while lifestyle variables with p = 0.003 OR = 4,902, and family support variables with p = 0.010 OR = 3,778 which means they have a meaningful relationship with hypertension control behavior in the elderly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the physical condition of the home environment and history of disease with the incidence of tuberculosis or pulmonary tuberculosis in the work area of the Rangkasbitung Health Center in 2023. This study is a descriptive correlation study with cross sectional design, which is research that explores the relationship between the physical condition of the house and the behavior of residents towards the incidence of tuberculosis. The type of data used is primary data, from the results of questionnaires and secondary data obtained from recording and reporting TB patient visit data at the Rangkasbitung Health Center. Data analysis in the study, using univariate analysis with positive TB incidence results (69.2%); Bivariate analysis showed a relationship between home air circulation and the incidence of tuberculosis (P<0.028), occupancy density (P<0.011), lighting (P<0.015), humidity (P<0.020), education (P<0.002), employment (P<0.006), and smoking (P<0.009); and humidity factor being the dominant factor with the largest OR (OR=28.579). The results of the cross-sectional test in the study, showed a significant relationship between the physical condition of the home environment and the history of disease with the incidence of tuberculosis in the work area of the Rangkasbitung Health Center. Suggestions in this study are the need for education related to environmental factors and behaviors that cause tuberculosis, such as counseling about healthy homes with qualified ventilation, good lighting, good humidity, occupancy in an adequate place, and reducing cigarette use habits. Other factors that need to be improved, in order to support the reduction in TB prevalence rates, namely education and employment factors. Patients with pulmonary tuberculosis must also be given understanding, related must always be tried to be in a place that has adequate air ventilation and good humidity, in order to reduce the risk of the severity of TB disease which can lead to death or the duration of the treatment process.
