Abstract

This activity is motivated by the needs of several Early Childhood Education Institutions in South Malang which require several learning innovations, preparing prospective educators who are competent and innovative in facing the challenges of early childhood education. One of the important skills that PIAUD students must have is ability to tell stories effectively. Storytelling requires not only good technique but also a deep understanding of the content that is appropriate to children's developmental needs and Islamic educational values. Therefore, a Service Program was carried out in the form of Storytelling Practice for PIAUD teaching students. This is a development of PIAUD teaching activities which involve students who are members of the Education Department Student Association. The results of this training activity with the Dongeng Kepompong studio turned out to be able to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of early childhood education. This can be shown that students practicing the PIAUD study program can apply training activities through storytelling to young children in the southern Malang area, namely at the Gentong Mas touristm, Wajak. This storytelling activity, which was attended by young children from kindergarten and RA from Malang district, gave a positive response to the storytelling activity carried out by practical students from Al-Qolam University, Malang. They expressed satisfaction and were very entertained by several moral messages through the storytelling activity. Keywords: Storytelling Training, PIAUD Teaching

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak penerapan prinsip gentle parenting terhadap pengelolaan emosi anak di kalangan orang tua. Ruang lingkup penelitian meliputi analisis konten dari postingan dan diskusi di media sosial, serta wawancara dengan orang tua yang menerapkan metode ini. Metode yang digunakan mencakup analisis kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama, seperti komunikasi terbuka, penguatan positif, dan teknik pengelolaan emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan gentle parenting secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan orang tua dalam merespons emosi anak, serta menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan mendukung. Komunikasi yang baik dan penggunaan penguatan positif terbukti meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak dan membangun hubungan yang sehat antara orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa gentle parenting tidak hanya membantu anak dalam mengelola emosi, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada perkembangan karakter yang resilien.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the impact of implementing gentle parenting principles on children's emotional management among participating parents. The scope of the research includes content analysis of posts and discussions on social media, as well as interviews with parents employing this method. The methodology involves qualitative analysis to identify key themes, such as open communication, positive reinforcement, and emotion management techniques. The findings indicate that the application of gentle parenting significantly enhances parents' ability to respond to their children's emotions while creating a safe and supportive environment. Effective communication and the use of positive reinforcement were found to boost children's self-esteem and foster healthy parent-child relationships. This research concludes that gentle parenting not only aids children in managing their emotions but also contributes to the development of resilient character
