Messages in communication involving a sign must have a meaning, especially meaning for its users. Because, signs and their meanings will play an important role in communication because signs are a primary function in generating meaning. The film "Gara-Gara Warisan" depicts a family conflict concerning the inheritance of a guest house belonging to his father and the lack of intimacy between siblings. This film also raises an unresolved conflict but a new conflict has arisen which makes the situation even more complicated and also illustrates how the conflict is resolved. This study uses the Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method, with a constructivism paradigm, a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by observing and collecting clippings of scenes in each film that contain conflict which were then analyzed. Based on the results of the study, the researcher found that in the film "Gara-Gara Warisan" there are 10 scenes analyzed using the semiotic analysis method which understands the meaning of denotation and connotation, 3 of which contain a major conflict that can cause a breakup between family relationships. The conclusion of this study, the results of the representation of conflict communication between characters are shown through visual signs in the form of body language and facial expressions, audio signs in the form of dialogues that are very important to strengthen the existence of conflict carried out by the media.]]>
