Abstract

Floods and landslides are natural disasters that have a major impact on transportation modes, especially in the land transportation sector. As a result of the disaster, many land travel routes were hampered and in the case of the railway sector, it had a very significant impact. The existence of floods and landslides resulted in the train operating system not running properly. This study aims to analyze the impact of floods and landslides on Train Travel Graph operating patterns and the effect on the railway signaling system by using the scoring method to obtain the results of mapping the level of flood and landslide risk and qualitative methods by analyzing documents and interviewing resource persons in order to obtain accurate information related to the cases that occur at each station. In this study, focusing on the province of South Sulawesi, in the Makassar Pare Pare railway project, there are several flood and landslide events that have occurred and the most significant impact on the Train Travel Graph operation pattern and signaling system are in the case of floods at Maros station and landslides at KM 72 in the Mandalle and Tanete Rilau station areas. The incident resulted in the cessation of train operations and the disconnection of the railway operation line which was supposed to be the Mandai Garongkong line but was cut off and ended at Mandal station. This incident can finally be handled by turning off all component functions in the railway interlocking system in flood handling. By using gutters and gabions in the KM 72 area to minimize the occurrence of further landslides and the crossing method carried out on Fiber Optic cables to keep the cable away from the risk of landslides.

Abstract

This study analyzed the damage to the Axle Counter Module ZP D 43 at the Maros Station crossing. The ZP D 43 module functions to detect the presence of the train, but it was found to be disrupted due to lightning strikes and a poor grounding system, which caused fatal damage to the module and counting head. The research method uses a qualitative approach through observation, technician interviews, as well as SWOT and TWOS analysis. The results of the SWOT and TOWS analyses show the need to improve system protection and grounding improvements to improve operational reliability. These findings provide strategic recommendations to improve the safety and efficiency of train travel in the Makassar–Parepare Railway Project.

Abstract

Tempe Kita Bandung, which has been operating since 1988, faces challenges of fluctuating revenue and intense price competition, as well as limited distribution that is still focused on traditional markets, making it difficult to reach a wider and more modern market segment. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors, determine the strategic position of the business, and formulate the most effective marketing strategy through a SWOT Analysis approach and an Internal-External (IE) Matrix. This descriptive study uses a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the owner or manager and questionnaires to key informants, while secondary data were obtained from internal company documents. The data analysis techniques used were the IFAS and EFAS Matrices to obtain weighted scores, which were then plotted on the IE Matrix to determine strategic position, and further processed through the SWOT Matrix to generate alternative strategies. The expected analysis results indicate that Tempe Kita Bandung has strengths in product experience and quality, but is weak in digital marketing adaptation. The strategic position of the business is estimated to be in the quadrant that requires a Hold and Maintain strategy. Therefore, the recommended marketing strategies are Weakness-Opportunity (WO) and Strength-Threat (ST) strategies, which are implemented through digital market penetration to address distribution weaknesses and premium product differentiation to counter the threat of low-price competition. This strategy is expected to increase business competitiveness and expand market reach.
