Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengelolaan dan proses restorasi bahan pustaka di SMA Negeri 2 Pringsewu guna meningkatkan keberlanjutan koleksi dan akses informasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi data untuk memperoleh gambaran lengkap mengenai faktor penyebab kerusakan dan langkah-langkah restorasi yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan bahan pustaka disebabkan oleh faktor internal seperti sifat kimia dan biologis kertas, serta faktor manusia seperti vandalisme dan kelalaian pengguna. Proses restorasi meliputi rebinding, penambalan, laminasi, dan pembersihan rutin yang dilakukan dengan alat sederhana seperti lem PVAc, gunting, dan kawat kasa. Meskipun telah ada SOP yang diterapkan, masih ditemukan kesenjangan antara kebijakan dan praktik lapangan, sehingga diperlukan peningkatan kesadaran pengguna dan staf, pengendalian lingkungan, serta peningkatan sumber daya dan kompetensi teknis. Kesimpulannya, upaya restorasi fisik yang tepat dapat memperpanjang umur koleksi dan menjaga kualitas bahan pustaka, sehingga mendukung keberlanjutan akses informasi di masa mendatang. Disarankan agar pihak sekolah meningkatkan pelatihan dan sumber daya agar proses restorasi berjalan lebih efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

The Creative Writing Course is one of the curriculum components with the potential to develop students' creative thinking skills, particularly in the Islamic Library and Information Science Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This study aims to explore the role of the Creative Writing Course in developing students' creative thinking abilities. Using a qualitative approach, this research employed structured interviews with eight student informants who had completed the course. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the Creative Writing Course significantly contributes to the development of students' creative thinking skills, as evidenced by progress across the stages of pre-writing, drafting, discussion and feedback, and revision. The recursive nature of the writing process encourages students to develop their ideas flexibly and deeply. The main obstacles faced by students include limited ideas, time management challenges, and the minimal writing culture in the academic environment. This study affirms that structured, process-based creative writing instruction can be an effective strategy for fostering creativity among library science students.
