Abstract

Implementasi model pembelajaran yang tepat diharapkan dapat meningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Blended Problem Based Learning adalah model pendidikan yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran tatap muka dan daring dengan kegiatan pemecahan masalah secara kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Blended Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan desain "quasy experiment" dengan pretest posttest control group a design. Penelitian ini melibatkan mahasiswa semester 4 kelas A (32 mahasiswa) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas B (33 mahasiswa) sebagai kelas kontrol pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument tes. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan independent samples tes kemampuan berfikir kritis menggunakan SPSS 23 for Windows melalui uji-t diperoleh hasil 0,030 < 0,05. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan model pembelajaran Blended Problem Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Blended Problem Based Learning efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Geografi

Abstract

The local wisdom of Patorani fishermen plays an important role in preserving the marine ecosystem and supporting community welfare. Their ecological ethics, such as prohibiting fishing during certain periods, using environmentally friendly fishing gear, and collective practices in boat maintenance and distribution of catches, reflect sustainable fisheries management. These traditions not only preserve coastal ecosystems but also strengthen socio-economic resilience through solidarity, cooperation, and fair economic practices. This value system contributes to poverty reduction, decent work, and marine conservation in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, SDG 8, and SDG 14. However, limited access to markets, technology, and capital remains a challenge in improving livelihoods. Strategic efforts are needed to preserve and revive Patorani wisdom amid modernization, including digital cultural documentation, integration into coastal education, and the development of creative economic initiatives. Collaboration between the government, academics, and fishing communities is essential to increase empowerment and support sustainable development.

Abstract

This study assesses the impact of a Virtual Reality-assisted Smart Teaching Model (VRSTM) on improving climate literacy and fostering active engagement in climate change mitigation and adaptation among secondary school students. A quasi-experimental design was used to compare the effectiveness of VRSTM with a Smart Teaching (ST) model and traditional teaching methods among eleventh graders at SMA Negeri 13 Makassar. Post-intervention data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), which highlighted significant enhancements in climate literacy and student participation levels across the three groups. The findings reveal that students instructed through VRSTM scored higher in climate literacy (84.88) and in participation in climate change mitigation and adaptation activities (85.53) than those in the ST model (83.09 and 84.97, respectively) and the traditional teaching groups (78.72 and 79.84, respectively). These results demonstrate that integrating VR technology into educational models markedly improves students' comprehension of climate change and their commitment to implementing mitigation and adaptation measures. The research highlights the potential of VR technology in creating more effective learning environments for tackling global challenges such as climate change, contributing valuable insights to the fields of educational technology and environmental education. It underscores the efficacy of VR-assisted learning models in boosting student engagement and involvement in addressing significant environmental concerns.
