Abstract

This study explores the use of parallel construction and chiasmus in English and Uzbek poetry, examining how these rhetorical devices enhance rhythm, meaning, and aesthetic quality. A comparative analysis highlights distinct cultural influences and linguistic structures that shape their application in each poetic tradition. Findings reveal that while parallelism is commonly used in both traditions for emphasis and symmetry, chiasmus serves unique functions, reflecting contrasting values and linguistic characteristics. These results contribute to a deeper understanding of how culture and language influence poetic form

Abstract

It is well known that a number of forms of repetition are used in poetry. In particular, the epiphora, as an element of poetic syntax, serves to express certain meanings in poetry. The article discusses the relationship between “radif” and epiphora, and reveals the artistic functions of this type of repetition on the example of poems by poets such as Erkin Vahidov, Abdulla Aripov, Usmon Azim, Iqbol Mirzo.

Abstract

The article investigates inversion as a reducing figures in Uzbek contemporary poems. Furthermore, the analysis of poems are shown that inversion is carried out with an emotional tonality in poems and it serves to create an artistic content in verse poems.
