Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Judicial Reform in Indonesia which aims to improve the judicial system to be more transparent, efficient, and free from corruption. The steps that have been taken include regulatory arrangements, institutional restructuring, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening the supervisory function. The Supreme Court, for example, has implemented an electronic court system for all types of cases and levels of examination, and developed an application that integrates the electronic court system for law enforcement institutions. Although various initiatives have been implemented, challenges such as corrupt practices and judicial mafia still affect public trust in judicial institutions. Therefore, revitalization of judicial reform through regulatory arrangements, institutions, cooperation, and supervision continues to be needed to realize an independent and integrated judicial system.
