Abstract

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease with a fairly high incidence rate. Hypertension is also called the silent killer disease because it often occurs without complaints and symptoms. Compliance with medication is an important factor in the success of hypertension treatment, therefore measuring compliance with medication use is very important to determine the success of hypertension treatment. The study aims to determine the level of medication compliance among hypertensive patients at the Musuk I Boyolali Community Health Center. This research belongs to descriptive research with a purposive sampling technique using the MMAS-8 questionnaire method. Data analysis of hypertensive patients was presented in the form of percentage tables. The number of samples was 100 respondents. The results show that the level of compliance of hypertensive patients at the Musuk I Boyolali Community Health Center has a high level of compliance with 11 respondents (11%), a moderate level of compliance with 22 respondents (22%), and a low level of compliance with 67 respondents (67%). This study concludes that the level of compliance with taking medication in hypertensive patients at the Musuk I Boyolali Community Health Center is in the low compliance level category with 67% of respondents.
