Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between the local wisdom of the Bugis community, particularly the traditional advice (pappaseng ogi) "duami kuala sappo, unganna panasae na belona kalukue", and the values contained in the Qur’an. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and the contextual hermeneutics method, this study reveals the symbolic and ethical meanings of the expression and its connection to the concepts of honesty, steadfastness (istiqamah), purity, and cleanliness in Islamic teachings. It is hoped that the results of this research can strengthen the synergy between local wisdom and the universal values of Islam in shaping a society with honest and clean character in their way of life.  Keywords: (Local wisdom, Bugis, Qur’an, ethical values, steadfastness, Islamic culture)

Abstract

Jalaluddin al-Suyuti also divides the Amsal al-Qur'an into two parts: First, Amsal Musarahah Bih. Second, Amsal Kaminah. Meanwhile, Mannaa' Khalil al-Qattan adds another type called Amsal Mursal. According to al-Qurtubi, Amsal al-Qur'an is divided into four forms: First: Amsal al-Qasas. Second: Amsal lil Hal. Third: Amsal al-Wasfi. Fourth: Amsal al-I'tibar.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an yang diturunkan oleh Allah swt. yang dipandang begitu bernilai khususnya bagi umat Islam, al-Qur’an dengan kesakralan-nya yang telah memberikan pemahaman tanpa batas bagi orang-orang yang mengkajinya. Pemahaman ini dapat dilihat dari perkembangan dalam konteks sosial masyarakat dan kemajuan material yang dikonsumsi masyarakt dewasa ini pada dasarnya dapat menimbulkan kegelisahan bagi jiwa mereka yang dapat mengakibatkan manusia berkepribadian abnormal. Analisis pemikiran AG. K. H. Daud Ismail yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah Library Research (kajian pustaka) terhadap karyanya Tafsir al- Munīr. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa al-Qur’an dapat berfungsi sebagai syifā’ (obat) apabila disertai dengan keimanan kepada Allah swt.
