Abstract

Anthracnose is a disease that often found in chilli plants caused by Colletotrichum sp. This research aims to examine seed treatment and mulch type on their ability to suppress anthracnose disease in chilli plants (Capsicum frutescens L.). The research was conducted in Walitelon Selatan Village, Temanggung District, Temanggung Regency at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level with alfisol soil type. This research was structured using a complete randomized block design with two treatment factors and 3 replications as blocks. The first factor, seed treatment, soaking with plain water (P1) and soaking with T. harzianum L. (P2). The second factor is the treatment of different types of mulch (M1) without mulch, (M2) rice straw mulch, (M3) silver-black plastik mulch, (M4) bamboo leaf litter mulch. The results showed that soaking seeds using T. harzianum L. (P2) had a significant effect in reducing the incidence of anthracnose disease and the percentage of diseased fruits. The use of black silver plastic mulch (M3) has a significant effect on plant height, healthy fruit weight, incidence of anthracnose disease, percentage of diseased fruit, and percentage of healthy fruit. The interaction of seed soaking using water and black silver black plastic mulch (P1M3) has a significant effect on fruit weight and percentage of healthy fruit. The conclusion is T. harzianum L. and black silver plastic mulch can reduce anthracnose disease.

Abstract

A fungus called mycorrhiza may coexist harmoniously with plants. The goal of this study is to ascertain how five different mycorrhizal concentrations affect the yield and growth of ground kale.The five-block, completely randomized block design (RAKL), non-factorial experiment that was used for this study was carried out from May to June 2022. In terms of plant height, number of branches, fresh weight consumed, dried weight consumed, and root length, the results showed that the usage of five mycorrhizal concentrations did not significantly differ, but there was a considerable difference in the number of leaves produced by each plant. Giving mycorrhizal concentrations could enhance the number of leaves on water spinach, but it could not improve plant height, number of branches, fresh weight for consumption, dried weight for consumption, or root length (Ipomea reptans Poir).Keywords Kale (Ipomea reptans Poir), mycorrhizal, growth

Abstract

Red chili production in Indonesia has decreased, one of the efforts to increase red chili production is through fertilization techniques. Research on the effect of inorganic fertilizers and liquid organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of red curly chili plants (Capsicum annuum L.) was carried out in August-December 2022 in the experimental field of Tamping Winarno Village, Sukorejo District, Kendal Regency. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of giving inorganic and liquid organic fertilizer concentrations and their combinations on the growth and yield of curly red chili (Capsicum annuum L.). The research method used was arranged in a completely randomized block design (RCBD) with 2 factorial. The first treatment was : concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (N0 = 0 ml, N1 = 10 ml, N2 = 20 ml). The second treatment was: concentration of AB mix fertilizer (P1=1 ppm, P2 = 2 ppm, P3 = 3 ppm). The results of the analysis showed that the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of 10 ml gave optimal results for plant height parameters. Concentration of inorganic fertilizer (AB mix) 2 ppm gave optimal results on the number of branches parameter. The parameters of the number of fruit planted, the weight of the fruit planted, the weight of fresh stover, and the harvest index did’t significantly affect the treatment of liquid organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer (AB mix).
