Abstract

The existence of Islamic Boarding Schools has existed before Indonesia’s independence, which is a place to internalise Islamic Religion so that disciplinary behaviours are formed that can make a reflection for the future community. Muna Falih Islamic Boarding School is one of the many Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and applies discipline as a form of daily activities whose application can be found around the pesantren environment. Michel Foucault is a pioneering thinker and historian of human science theory who has a theory of body discipline. Michel Foucault’s body discipline theory shapes the lives of obedient santri. The focus of this research is on the activities and life of Muna Falih students. As for the supporting materials in this research, interviews with related people, books, journals related to Michel Foucault are inserted, which the author then analyses using description analysis so that in this study there are similarities between the daily activities of santri and Michel Foucault’s body discipline theory. The formation of disciplinary behaviour in Muna Falih Islamic Boarding School is due to three things: Hierarchical supervision, normalisation, and testing. Abstract

This research examines feminine elements in Ibn ‘Arabī's cosmology and their implications for ecofeminism and contemporary Islamic feminism. It responds to the lack of holistic studies that integrate Ibn ’Arabī's Sufi metaphysical thought with Islamic feminist and ecological discourse. The research method used is a descriptive-analytical approach by studying primary texts by Ibn ‘Arabī and secondary literature related to Islamic feminism and ecofeminism. The study results reveal that Ibn ’Arabī views femininity as a symbol and an essential and equal aspect of divine reality, opening up spiritual and social space for gender equality. The concept of femininity in Ibn ‘Arabī's Sufi cosmology serves as a strong and relevant theological foundation for contemporary Muslim feminists and an important basis for the development of Islamic ecofeminism. This research contributes to more inclusive, progressive, and sustainable studies of gender and spirituality in Islam.
