Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the graphical method in maximizing curtain production at Adis Gordyne store. Production optimization problems in economics are often related to resource limitations, such as time, cost, and materials. Linear programming offers a structured approach to address these constraints by formulating them as a system of linear inequalities, with the objective of maximizing or minimizing a linear function. The graphical method, which is one of the basic techniques of linear programming, is applied in this research to determine the optimal production quantities under existing constraints. Data collection was conducted through field observations, interviews, and documentation at Adis Gordyne, located in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The findings show that the use of the graphical method is effective in identifying the most efficient use of resources to increase curtain production. This approach not only provides benefits for business decision-making but also contributes to a better understanding of mathematical applications in daily economic activities.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning is one form of effort to reduce problems in the process of learning mathematics. The model used in the teaching and learning process is in accordance with the demands of mathematics learning and is centered on students. This research has the main objective of developing and designing problem-based LKPD with the aim of improving students' ability to solve mathematical problems on the material of rows and series. The use of the research and development (R&D) model was chosen by researchers in this study. The type of development used in this model is 4D; as stated, 4D itself consists of four stages, namely introduction (define), planning (design), development (develop), and dissemination (disseminate). Problem Based Learning-based LKPD on the material of rows and series developed is feasible to use as teaching material in learning with the acquisition of a validation value of 92.44%, declared practical with a score of 87.44% based on students' responses to student worksheets, and declared effective with student completeness increasing with an N-Gain value of 0.72, including the high category. The increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes on the material of rows and series using Problem Based Learning-based Learner Worksheets shows that there is an increase in the mathematical problem-solving ability of students.

Abstract

The transformation from the 2013 Curriculum (K–13) to the Revised 2013 Curriculum (K–13R) in Indonesia represents a significant shift in mathematics education. This study aims to analyze the differences between K–13 and K–13R through six key aspects: (1) curriculum structure and competency formulation, (2) pedagogical paradigm including the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), (3) emphasis on literacy and numeracy, (4) teacher readiness and classroom implementation, (5) availability and contextual quality of textbooks and learning media, and (6) student learning outcomes based on PISA and national assessment data. Adopting a qualitative descriptive-comparative approach, this study uses document analysis to explore official curriculum guidelines, textbooks, and supporting literature. The findings reveal that K–13R introduces more structured and concrete competencies, increases focus on contextual and HOTS-based learning, and places greater emphasis on numeracy skills. Nevertheless, classroom implementation remains problematic due to gaps in teacher preparedness, lack of relevant instructional materials, and insufficient understanding of authentic assessments. These results highlight the need for integrated curriculum planning, sustainable teacher training, and contextual resource development to realize the intended transformation.
