Abstract

This study was motivated by the rapid development of artificial intelligence that has transformed the learning process in higher education. The purpose of this study was to examine lecturers' perceptions of the impact of AI use, particularly on student behavior. Based on a qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, the results of this study found that artificial intelligence has an ambivalent influence. On the one hand, artificial intelligence encourages students to be more independent in accessing information and completing tasks. However, on the other hand, this independence is not always followed by active participation in class discussions, which reduces academic interaction. In addition, concerns have arisen regarding academic ethics, such as plagiarism and low originality of work, as well as excessive dependence on technology that hinders critical thinking skills. In response to this, lecturers feel the need to adjust their roles and teaching strategies to be relevant to the digital era. These findings emphasize the importance of digital literacy and artificial intelligence ethics in higher education, in line with Selwyn and Norman's views on digital learning and technology ethics. Literacy and ethics enable students to use technology wisely.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of learning technologies on the quality of education in schools, focusing on the potential and associated risks. In the digital era, the integration of technology in the teaching and learning process is becoming increasingly important. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study techniques to analyze and understand the impact of learning technology on the quality of education. Learning technology contributes significantly to improving the quality of education in schools, both in terms of accessibility and quality of learning processes. Technology allows students to access a wide range of information sources and learning materials and supports more flexible and interactive learning. With educational apps, learning videos and online platforms, students can study independently outside of school hours and adapt learning to their own style and pace. This helps to create a more personalized and adaptive learning experience, which results in increased student motivation and understanding of the material. However, the application of technology in education also brings a number of risks that need to be taken seriously. One of the main risks is that students' dependence on technological devices can reduce their ability to think critically and solve problems independently. This implies that schools and governments need to develop policies that support the effective application of technology, including teacher training in integrating technology with the curriculum, provision of adequate infrastructure, and efforts to ensure equal access for all students.

Abstract

Inequality in access to education between urban and remote areas is still a serious problem in the education system in Indonesia. Many students in remote areas face obstacles in obtaining proper education, mainly due to the limited number of educators, lack of educational facilities, and difficult access to transportation. Along with the rapid development of information and communication technology, mobile-based learning media emerged as a potential solution to overcome these obstacles. This study aims to examine the utilization of mobile-based learning media in improving accessibility and quality of education in remote areas. The method used is a qualitative study with a case study approach in several primary and secondary schools in remote areas in Indonesia. The results show that the use of mobile media such as educational applications, learning videos, and Android-based e-learning platforms can expand the range of learning, increase student participation, and allow teaching and learning activities to take place flexibly without relying on the physical presence of teachers. In addition, students show increased motivation to learn and independence in completing tasks. However, the implementation of this media still faces several challenges, including limited internet network, lack of mobile devices, and low digital literacy of teachers and students. Support from various parties, both government and private, is needed to provide infrastructure, training and development of appropriate learning content. With the right approach, mobile-based learning media has the potential to be a strategic tool in expanding access to inclusive and equitable education throughout Indonesia.
