Abstract

The high diversity of tree species at various height levels indicates that there may still be many unidentified tree species, making it unclear how the distribution and abundance of the tree community's structure are. The ULM Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK ULM) covers an area of 1,617 hectares. The KHDTK ULM includes several regions such as Bukit Besar, Bukit Mandiangin, Bukit Pamaton, and Bukit Pandamaran, each with different elevations. Research on the structure of the tree community at Bukit Mandiangin is necessary for the preservation of germplasm in the KHDTK ULM. The objectives of this research are (1) to assess the presence of tree species at different elevations, (2) to analyze the distribution and abundance of tree species at different elevations, and (3) to analyze the diversity, evenness, and similarity of tree species communities at different elevations

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan, yaitiu; (1) Menganalisis korelasi data Normalize Difference Vegetation Indeks (NDVI) dengan luas kerapatan tajuk di Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM); (2) Menganalisis korelasi Vegetation Densitiy (VD) dengan nilai kerapatan tajuk raster di KHDTK ULM. Penentuan titik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling berdasarkan Peta Normalize Difference Vegetation Indeks (NDVI) dengan kelas penutupan lahan berupa hutan sekunder dan ukuran petak ukur 10x10 m2 tingkat tiang dan 20x20 m2 untuk tingkat pohon, dengan data yang diambil berupa lebar tajuk melalui pengukuran diameter/jari-jari tajuk vegetasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu persamaan antara nilai Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) dengan luas kerapatan tajuk dalam plot 20x20 m2 mendapatkan persamaan dengan y = 0,5327x - 0,176, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,7159 yang memiliki arti bahwa nilai variabel (x) tersebut mempunyai pengaruh 71% dan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) 0,8461 mengartikan hubungan antara Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) dengan luas kerapatan tajuk dalam plot 20x20 m2 sangat kuat dan persamaan antara nilai Vegetatio Density (VD) dengan Kerapatan tajuk raster menghasilkan y = 0,6851x + 0,0076, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,9146 yang memiliki arti bahwa nilai variabel (x) tersebut mempunyai pengaruh 91% dan nilai Koefisien Korelasi (r) 0,956347 mengartikan hubungannya sangat kuat. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan citra Vegetation Density (VD) dapat dijadikan informasi yang cukup valid terhadap data kerapatan tajuk vegetasi pada suatu area dan dapat dijadikan informasi tambahan sebelum melakukan pengambilan data di lapangan
