ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the influence of digital comic media and serial image media on the narrative writing skills of class VII students of SMPN 20 Kota Serang. This study used a quantitative research method with a pure experimental research design (true-experimental) namely control group pretest-posttest. The data analysis technique of this study used the stages of descriptive analysis, analysis requirements testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of digital comic media on the narrative writing skills of class VII students of SMPN 20 Kota Serang, there was an influence of serial image media on the narrative writing skills of class VII students of SMPN 20 Kota Serang, and there was a difference in influence between digital comic media and serial image media on the narrative writing skills of class VII students of SMPN 20 Kota Serang. Keywords: digital comics, serial images, writing skills, narrative ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari tahu serta mendeskripsikan bagaimana pengaruh media komik digital dan media gambar berseri pada keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 20 Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen murni (true-experimental) yakni control group pretest-posttest. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan analisis deskriptif, uji persyaratan analisis, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media komik digital terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 20 Kota Serang, terdapat pengaruh media gambar berseri terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 20 Kota Serang, serta terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara media komik digital dan media gambar berseri terhadap keterampilan menulis narasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 20 Kota Serang.
