Abstract

The presence of development journalists is needed to criticize, study, evaluate, and report on the relevance of development projects. The press, as the fourth pillar of democracy, has a very crucial role in conveying criticism. The research aims to analyze the influence of society's information needs (X1), politics (X2), and government (X3) on the quality of development messages (Y1) and news (Y2). The research methodology uses a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanation strategy. TheĀ  research population coversĀ  television news viewers and observers. The research sample consisted of 110 respondents who were viewers and observers of news broadcasts in mainstream media. The research results show: (1) there is a significant influence between the information need variable based on the community perspective (X1) on the quality of development messages (Y1); (2) there is no significant influence between the variable information needs based on the perspective of the business world (X2), politics (X3), and government (X4) on news quality (Y2), but there is an influence of public information needs (X1) on news quality (Y2). Based on information from press representative institutions, there was a decline in quality caused by: (1) complaints of violations from the Indonesian Broadcasting Institution; (2) less attractive news packaging; (4) social media competition; (5) in-depth news analysis; (6) intervention from stakeholders; (7) lack of cross-sectoral support; and (8) the small compensation received by journalists. In conclusion, information needs based on society's perspective do not influence the quality of development messages but do influence the quality of news.

Abstract

Rapid technological advances demand innovation in teaching while simultaneously creating challenges in adapting and utilizing digital tools. This study, using the PRISMA-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, explores a model for strengthening Knowledge Management (KM) through digital literacy. The study's findings highlight that strengthening KM with digital technology is key to creating an efficient and innovative academic ecosystem. Utilizing online learning platforms and digital collaboration tools makes knowledge sharing more effective. Furthermore, ongoing training and adequate infrastructure support encourage a more collaborative learning environment. Universities need to design and implement a Knowledge Management integration model that aligns with technological advancements and academic needs. A holistic approach, encompassing technology, processes, and organizational culture, enhances digital literacy and the culture of knowledge sharing among lecturers, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of knowledge management and academic competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Abstract

Knowledge management among lecturers remains a critical challenge in higher education institutions, particularly in adapting to dynamic organizational and leadership demands. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational support and agile leadership on lecturers' knowledge management mediated by interpersonal communication. The research addresses the limited empirical evidence on how social mechanisms and leadership adaptability shape knowledge management practices in higher education. The research population was drawn from three private universities in Bogor City. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design and involved a sample of 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results showed that agile leadership had a significant effect on knowledge management both directly and indirectly. Organizational support mediated by interpersonal communication did not show a significant direct effect on knowledge management. These findings indicate that adaptive leadership and social interaction play a more decisive role than formal institutional support. The study concludes that social mechanisms and agile leadership primarily drive lecturers' knowledge management. The findings imply that higher education institutions should prioritize leadership development and interpersonal communication strategies to enhance knowledge management practices. The novelty of the research introduces a new model of lecturer knowledge management based on the social mechanism of agile leadership.
