Bhineka Tunggal Ika is a slogan that unites the Indonesian people who live in cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity. However, in the current era of globalization, these values have begun to be disturbed by social divisions, dissatisfaction with differences, and identity issues. This study aims to analyze the significance of the revitalization of the Bhineka Tunggal Ika value within the framework of a multicultural society using a literature study approach. The results of the analysis indicate that the low level of internalization of the values of tolerance and respect for differences can be a serious problem in maintaining national unity. Civic education is a learning process that aims to provide individuals with an understanding of the rights, obligations, and responsibilities as citizens in a country. has an important function in building the character of inclusive, tolerant, and democratic citizens.
