Abstract

The efforts that can be made to increase learning motivation are through the use of learning media integrated with current technology with a culture-based approach that students often find in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to describe the importance of AR in mathematics learning, the use of technology in ethnomathematics, and the effects of AR in fostering student learning motivation. This research method is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA (Preferred Recording Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis) technique. The article search process uses a database from international journals indexed by Scopus and found 287 articles. Then a feasibility study was carried out according to the specified criteria so that 18 final articles were obtained. The results of the study showed that: (1) the use of AR in mathematics learning is very important because it has a positive impact such as improving learning outcomes, increasing learning motivation, improving the quality of learning, creating fun learning, improving learning experiences and improving creative thinking skills; (2) Cultural integration combined with technology provides benefits, namely learning becomes interesting so that it can foster student learning motivation, the form of integration between AR technology and ethnomathematics can be in the form of developing interactive learning media, modules or android-based media; and (3) Several studies using AR-based learning media have provided significant results in increasing students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model integrated with ethnomathematics-based flashcards (montara) on mathematics learning outcomes in elementary school mathematics. This study used a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: experimental class 1, which implemented the TPS model with the aid of montara flashcards, and experimental class 2, which used the TPS model without the media. Data collection was conducted using test instruments (pretest and posttest) to measure students' conceptual understanding. The results of the statistical analysis showed a significant difference, with the average posttest score for experimental class 1 reaching 91.50, higher than that of experimental class 2, which obtained an average of 82.63. An independent sample t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 (<0.05), confirming the positive influence of the use of local culture-based media in the cooperative model on student academic achievement. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration of the TPS model with contextual visual media not only improves learning outcomes but is also effective in introducing Indonesian cultural values ??to students. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) yang diintegrasikan dengan media flashcard berbasis etnomatematika (montara) terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi bangun datar di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dengan melibatkan dua kelompok, yakni kelas eksperimen 1 yang menerapkan model TPS dengan bantuan media flashcard montara, dan kelas eksperimen 2 yang menggunakan model TPS tanpa media tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrumen tes (pretest dan posttest) untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep siswa. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, di mana nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 1 mencapai 91,50, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas eksperimen 2 yang memperoleh rata-rata 82,63. Uji independent sample t-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 (< 0,05), yang mengonfirmasi adanya pengaruh positif penggunaan media berbasis budaya lokal dalam model kooperatif terhadap capaian akademik siswa. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi model TPS dengan media visual yang kontekstual tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil belajar, tetapi juga efektif dalam memperkenalkan nilai-nilai budaya Nusantara kepada peserta didik.
