Abstract

This study aims to analyze the toxic effects brought about by amphetamine use and its association with suicides. Suicide is an act of ending one's own life that is often associated with mental health disorders and life pressures. Amphetamines are classified as Class II psychotropic drugs that have a strong stimulant effect on the central nervous system, causing changes in behavior and mental activity, including hallucinations, thought disorders, and emotional changes. This study was conducted based on a literature review, identifying and analyzing various suicide cases involving amphetamine use through relevant literature. The results of the literature analysis indicate that amphetamine use significantly increases the risk of suicidal behavior, which can affect neurotransmitters, potentially triggering psychosis, nerve damage, and cardiovascular issues. Chronic use leads to dependence, cognitive impairment.

Abstract

Stunting remains one of the biggest nutritional problems in Indonesia, including in Sumedang District, and hinders children's physical growth and cognitive development. Efforts to prevent stunting require nutritional interventions based on locally available foods that are nutritious and sustainable. Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) are known to be rich in nutrients such as protein, iron, vitamin A, calcium, and antioxidants, which play a crucial role in children's growth and development. This study is a literature review aimed at assessing the potential of moringa leaves as a local food innovation for stunting prevention, particularly among the Legok Kidul community in Paseh Subdistrict, Sumedang District. The literature review results indicate that the use of moringa leaves in the form of enriched pudding can increase the nutritional intake of mothers and children. Additionally, the sufficient availability of moringa plants in the region presents a strategic opportunity to develop moringa leaves as a nutritious local food source. However, challenges include low community awareness of the benefits of moringa leaves and limitations in processing methods. Therefore, community empowerment approaches, nutrition education, and innovations in moringa-based foods are needed to support the stunting prevention program in the village.
