Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has introduced new challenges in modern family dynamics, particularly for Generation Z, who have grown up with the internet and are at risk of developing digital addiction. This Community Service Program aimed to raise awareness of the importance of family harmony as a preventive measure against internet addiction. The activity was carried out through an interactive webinar involving university students, and employees of PT. Andalusia Property, and the general public. The materials presented covered definitions, causes, and impacts of internet addiction, along with strengthening family relationships based on the Strength-Based Family Theory. Pre- and post-test evaluations showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of family harmony dimensions and psychosocial factors contributing to addiction. Active participation during the discussion sessions highlighted how this educational approach successfully increased awareness, psychological literacy, and critical reflection on the family’s role. By combining theory and practical experience, the program proved effective as a preventive intervention and is highly relevant to be continued through further educational initiatives such as digital parenting or family communication training.
