<![CDATA[The kiai figure is very important in the daily life of the Madurese people. So far, the kiai has been a figure who has contributed greatly in various fields, thus making the kiai a figure in power over the future of society. The purpose of this research is to study and analyze the figure of the kiai in Madura from the perspective of Al-Ghazali's theory of power (political) thought, which figure kiai have a big influence on the sustainability of Madurese society, especially in religion and religious rituals and indirectly the figure of kiai has become the ruling leader so far. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, the data collection technique uses a literacy study approach related to kiai in Madura and Al-Ghazali's (political) thought of power. Furthermore, the data were analyzed through text analysis techniques used to collect and analyze the content of a text, which can be in the form of words, the meaning of images, symbols, ideas, themes and various forms of messages. This research shows that the figure of the kiai in Madura in the perspective of Al-Ghazali's theory of power (political) thought shows that the kiai is in control of all the problems of the Madurese community who defeats government figures and the kiai is also the successor of the prophet's treatise and is the person who dominates in the realm of religion. (Figur kiai menjadi hal yang sangat penting di kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Madura. Selama ini, kiai menjadi sosok yang berkontribusi besar diberbagai bidang, sehingga menjadikan kiai sosok yang berkuasa atas masa depan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis terkait figur kiai di Madura perspektif teori pemikiran kekuasaan (politik) Al-Ghazali, yang mana figur kiai memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap keberlangsungan masyarakat Madura, khususnya dalam beragama dan ritual keagamaan dan secara tidak langsung sosok kiai menjadi pemimpin yang berkuasa selama ini. Penelitian ini jenis penelitian kualitatif deskritif, teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan pendekatan studi literasi yang berkaitan dengan kiai di Madura dan pemikiran kekuasaan (politik) Al-Ghazali. Selanjutnya data dianalisis melalui teknik analisis teks yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisis muatan sebuah teks, dapat berupa kata-kata, makna gambar, simbol, gagasan, tema dan bermacam bentuk pesan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa figur kiai di Madura dalam perspektif teori pemikiran kekuasaan (politik) Al-Ghazali menunjukkan, kalau kiai menjadi pemegang kendali atas semua persoalan masyarakat Madura yang mengalahkan figur pemerintah dan kiai juga menjadi penerus dari risalah nabi serta menjadi orang yang mendominasi dalam ranah agama.)]]>
