Abstract

This study explores lesson plans for writing job applications for vocational students using a systematic literature review as a research design by highlighting lesson plans for teachers in teaching writing job applications. This systematic literature review method was conducted with the “Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses” using the guideline of PRISMA 2020, where it helps us in improving the reporting of the systematic reviews, making it more transparent, complete, and easier to assess and replicate the data findings into our research discussion. For this research, we have collected about 200 articles through trusted web journals such as Scopus, Google Scholar and ResearchGate. Then we've narrowed it down to 172 articles, and we picked the topics that are appropriate and relevant to our research discussion. Through our findings, we found that there are common challenges faced by teachers and students, such as writing errors in job application letters as well as unclear objectives, unaligned activities, poor time management, and lack of student engagement. Throughout the lesson plan and writing error that we analyze from the articles, we also want to find out what teaching activities can be improved by the teacher, including lesson plan design for writing job application letters for vocational students.
