Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perception of the implementation of the construction safety management system or more commonly known as SMKK and safety maturity level with productivity and OHS performance in the construction consultant industry. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method to collect data from respondents who have certain characteristics. The population in this study were construction experts working in construction service companies, with a total population of 267,837 people based on data from BPS and the Ministry of Public Works in 2023. Sampling was carried out using the Isaac & Michael formula with a significance level of 5%, so that a sample of 348 respondents was obtained. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the criteria that respondents were part of the construction consultant team (team leader, expert, assistant expert, surveyor) using SmartPLS. The research measuring instrument also used a questionnaire distributed to Construction Workers (TKK) who had a Construction Expertise Certificate (SKK). The results of this study found that perceptions regarding the safety culture maturity level had a positive effect on work productivity and OHS performance, but perceptions regarding the implementation of SMKK had a negative effect on work productivity and had no effect on OHS performance.

Abstract

Efforts to prevent work accidents are needed to avoid losses that arise and to improve work safety performance in the workplace, therefore K3 is an effort to get a comfortable workplace and working atmosphere to support the achievement of the highest productivity. This study uses interviews and observations to understand the effect of OSH on employee performance with a saturated sample of 180 respondents and quantifies the survey results in the processing of modified regression analysis. The results of the study show that there is a positive relationship between K3 climate and the performance of Construction Project Employees at PT. X. That is, the better the OSH climate in the work environment, the higher the performance of construction project employees. Furthermore, researchers also found that OSH culture plays a role as a mediator in this relationship. In this context, a positive OHS Culture can have a profound effect on creating a safe, disciplined and safety-oriented work environment.

Abstract

Penerapan sistem manajemen K3 pada perusahaan merupakan hal esensial sebagai penunjang keselamatan dalam pelaksanaan produksi dan setelahnya. Pada penelitian ini penulis membandingkan penerapan Sistem Manajemen K3 pada PT ABC dengan panduan dalam Peraturan Pemerintah RI No. 50 Tahun 2012. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada tesis ini adalah penelitian deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif dari analisis perbadingan implementasi Sistem Manajemen K3 WISE di PT. ABC dengan PP No. 50 Tahun 2012 tentang penerapan Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja. Analisi yang dilakukan mendapati bahwa penerapan safety culture sesuai yang ada pada WISE telah melengkapi semua kriteria yang diperlukan oleh panduan SMK3 yang ditetapkan dalam PP No. 50 Tahun 2012. Dengan ini maka PT ABC telah mengikuti aturan pemerintah dalam upaya penerapan SMK3 dalam dunia industri dengan arahan yang disesuaikan pada WISE. Meski dimikian PT ABC perlu melakukan rapat koordinasi terkait relevansi WISE dengan kebijakan pemerintahan dan perundangan di Indonesia agar PT ABC tetap sejalan dengan iklim K3 Indonesia.
