Abstract

Research related to the development of digital comics in arts and culture learning, in arts and culture learning at MIN 2 SINJAI, learning is centered on educators. The research aims to: (1) To find out the results of the analysis of the development needs of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. (2) To find out the design of the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. (3) To describe the results of the validity of the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. (4) To describe the results of the practicality of the development of digital comic media based on local wisdom of the folk tale "marimpa salo tradition" in the arts and culture subject of class IV MIN 2 Sinjai. This researcher uses the R&D (Research and development) research type. This study uses the Four D (4D) development model, this model has stages, namely the Define stage, the Design stage, the Develop stage, and the Disseminate stage. This study was conducted at MIN 2 Sinjai with a total of 24 students and 1 fourth-grade homeroom teacher as research subjects. The data sources in this study were 2 validators consisting of a content validator and a media validator. Data collection was through content expert validation, media validation, and practicality trials. The results of the observation stated that the development of digital comic media was very necessary, while the media validation was in a very valid qualification, the content validation was in a very valid qualification, and the practicality trial was in a practical qualification. The conclusion is that the development of Digital Comic Media is practical for use by students.
