Abstract

This study aims to analyze effective physical education teaching strategies for improving the performance of young athletes in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and field observations, this study examines various teaching methods that have been proven effective in developing the performance of young athletes. The results indicate that effective teaching strategies include a holistic approach that integrates technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects. The implementation of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) model, a multilateral approach, and the use of technology in learning have been shown to have a positive impact on improving the performance of young athletes. Furthermore, personalized training programs, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive learning environment are key factors for success. This study recommends the implementation of student-centered teaching strategies that consider the individual characteristics of young athletes and the importance of continuous professional development for coaches and physical education teachers.
