Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce the development of fraction board media and improve the understanding of fraction concepts in class VA of SD Negeri 06 Pemulutan Barat and to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of fraction board media on the fraction concept of class VA of SD Negeri 06 Pemulutan Barat. The research method used was the research and development method or Research and Development (RnD) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects in this study were 20 class VA students. To obtain data, the researcher used data collection techniques, namely observation, questionnaires, and tests. Based on the results of the study that the fraction board media to improve understanding of the concept of fractions has a feasible criterion with a validity test from the overall results of the validation test on the material expert validator, media expert, and educator practitioner stated "very valid" by obtaining a percentage of 86.67%, from the overall results of the practicality test on the one to one test, small group test, and large group trial stated "very practical" by obtaining a percentage of 91%, and from the results of the effectiveness test on the N Gain trial field trial using pretest and posttest tests obtained 0.80% with the criteria "high" so that the test on students' abilities increased and was also effective. Thus, the development of fraction board media to improve understanding of the concept of fractions of class VA SD Negeri 06 Pemulutan Barat, is feasible to be used by students in the learning process so that there is an increase in using fraction board media.
