Abstract

Bullying in the school environment remains a serious problem that impacts students' psychological and academic development. The development of technology has also expanded bullying into the digital realm (cyberbullying), which is increasingly difficult to control without innovation in counselling and supervision. This study aims to develop an innovative anti-bullying counselling model in schools and formulate effective strategies for parents in supervising children's use of gadgets to create a safe and conducive learning environment. This research uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method by involving students, teachers, and parents in several schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and surveys of students and parents. Data were analysed using a descriptive qualitative approach using thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that innovative anti-bullying counselling, such as the use of interactive educational media and integration in the curriculum, was effective in increasing students' understanding and reducing the incidence of bullying in schools. In addition, parental supervision of gadget use plays an important role in minimising children's involvement in cyberbullying. Children who receive closer supervision tend to have a higher awareness of using technology wisely. Thus, collaboration between schools and parents is a key factor in building a safe and inclusive education ecosystem for students.

Abstract

The application of Islamic values in the sociology of education in Islamic schools is an important study in an effort to shape the character of students who are not only academically superior but also have high morality. Islamic education does not only focus on cognitive aspects but also on the internalisation of ethical and social values in daily life. This research aims to analyse how Islamic values are implemented in an Islamic school environment and how it affects the social interaction and character building of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data sources consisted of principals, teachers and students in several Islamic schools selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis of curriculum and education programmes. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis method to identify patterns of Islamic values implementation in Islamic school education. The results showed that the application of Islamic values in Islamic schools is reflected in the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, character building through social interaction patterns, and extracurricular activities based on Islamic values. The findings confirm that Islamic schools act not only as educational institutions but also as socialisation agents that shape individuals with integrity. However, challenges in integration with the national curriculum as well as limited resources are still the main obstacles. Therefore, a more systematic strategy and support from various parties are needed to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of Islamic values in education.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum positions authentic assessment as a key component in assessing students' holistic development. However, its implementation at the elementary school level faces various complex challenges. This qualitative phenomenological study aims to explore the experiences of Driving Teachers in implementing authentic assessment. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 Driving Teachers in elementary schools who have implemented the Merdeka Curriculum for at least one year. The research findings reveal three main themes. First, there is a transformation of mindset from conventional assessment paradigms towards a facilitative-reflective approach. Second, teachers face dynamic challenges including administrative burdens and time constraints, yet develop collaborative strategies through communities of practice and technology utilization. Third, the implementation of authentic assessment significantly enhances student engagement and teachers' holistic understanding of student development. This study concludes that the implementation of authentic assessment is a transformative process requiring systemic and collaborative support. The development of digital platforms to simplify documentation and strengthen sustainable communities of practice is recommended.
