Abstract

The "SIMARDI" archival application program is one of the archival applications that can be implemented across all units managing correspondence in both government and private institutions, including the Agricultural and Plantation Office of Aceh. With its systematic and applicative processing capabilities, this application can assist in comprehensive archival management, including the proper and swift classification, orderly file arrangement, rapid and accurate archive data retrieval, as well as guiding the process of archiving reduction across all Regional Work Units (SKPD) and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD)/State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) within their respective areas. The acceptance of archivists towards the SIMARDI application is measured using the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) method. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the SIMARDI application using the TAM method, to understand the archivists' perceptions and the factors influencing their use of the application. The research method employed is quantitative, utilizing a questionnaire as a tool to collect data from 30 SIMARDI application users. The research results indicate that the archivists' acceptance of the SIMARDI application positively influences the three TAM variables: perceived ease of use (74%), perceived usefulness (72.57%), and technology acceptance (73.80%). These findings suggest that the developers should focus on improving the perceived usefulness variable of the SIMARDI application, as its percentage value is lower compared to the other variables.

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis study was motivated by the low level of students’ scientific literacy in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at elementary schools. Scientific literacy is an important competency that enables students to understand scientific phenomena, solve problems, and  make decisions based on scientific evidence. One of the learning models that can improve this ability is Project Based Learning (PjBL). This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' scientific literacy at SDN 6 Muara Dua. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of 27 fifth-grade students and one IPAS teacher. Data were collected through observation, interviews, scientific literacy tests, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model was able to increase students’ learning interest, activeness, and critical thinking skills in understanding food chain material. Students became more active in observation activities, group discussions, and project presentations. Most students demonstrated good and moderate levels of scientific literacy, particularly in identifying scientific issues and explaining simple phenomena.   However, some students still experienced difficulties in using scientific evidence to draw conclusions. Therefore, Project Based Learning can be considered an effective learning alternative to improve elementary school students' scientific literacy. ABSTRACTPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar. Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik untuk memahami fenomena ilmiah, memecahkan masalah, serta mengambil keputusan berdasarkan bukti ilmiah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut adalah Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa di SDN 6 Muara Dua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 27 siswa kelas V dan satu orang guru mata pelajaran IPAS. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes literasi sains, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, minat belajar, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memahami materi rantai makanan. Siswa lebih aktif dalam melakukan pengamatan, diskusi kelompok, serta presentasi hasil proyek. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains pada kategori baik dan cukup, terutama dalam mengidentifikasi isu ilmiah dan menjelaskan fenomena sederhana. Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menggunakan bukti ilmiah untuk menarik kesimpulan. Dengan demikian, implementasi model Project Based Learning dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar.
