Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies employed by Catholic Religious Education teachers in utilizing Artificial Intellegence as a learning aid at St. Yoseph Senior High School in Medan. Amid the rapid development of digital technology, Catholic Religious Education teachers face the challenge of instilling faith-based values in a contextual and relevant manner. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers implement three main strategies: personalized learning based on students' learning styles, the development of creative learning materials using platforms such as Canva and Google Forms, and the cultivation of students' collaborative skills through Artificial Intellegence based digital projects. These strategies have proven effective in enhancing learning motivation, student engagement, and comprehension of religious content. However, challenges remain, such as limited infrastructure and teachers' digital literacy. The study concludes that the purposeful integration of Artificial Intellegence can support the objectives of Catholic Religious Education, provided it is accompanied by ethical and pedagogical guidance from teachers ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik (PAK) dalam memanfaatkan Artificial Intellegence sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran di SMA St. Yoseph Medan. Di tengah perkembangan teknologi digital, guru PAK dihadapkan pada tantangan untuk tetap menanamkan nilai-nilai iman secara kontekstual dan relevan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menerapkan tiga strategi utama, yaitu personalisasi pembelajaran berdasarkan gaya belajar siswa, penyusunan materi pembelajaran yang kreatif dengan bantuan platform seperti Canva dan Google Form, serta pelatihan keterampilan kolaboratif siswa melalui proyek digital berbasis Artificial Intellegence. Strategi-strategi ini terbukti meningkatkan motivasi belajar, partisipasi siswa, serta pemahaman terhadap materi ajaran agama. Kendati demikian, tantangan masih dihadapi, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan literasi digital guru. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan bahwa penggunaan Artificial Intellegence secara terarah dapat mendukung pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran PAK, namun tetap memerlukan pendampingan etis dan pedagogis dari guru.
