<![CDATA[ABSTRAK. Konservasi merujuk pada usaha untuk mencegah kerusakan dan memperpanjang umur bangunan atau kawasan bersejarah. Tujuannya adalah menjaga, memperbaiki, dan mengungkapkan sejarah yang terkait dengan bangunan atau artefak tersebut. Proses konservasi melibatkan langkah-langkah untuk memastikan agar bangunan atau kawasan bersejarah tetap aman, terjaga, dan memiliki masa depan yang terjamin dalam pengelolaannya. Hal ini dilakukan dengan maksud mempertahankan makna budaya sesuai dengan kondisi fisik dan situasi lokal di sekitar kawasan bersejarah tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memahami implementasi prinsip-prinsip konsep konservasi arsitektur pada kawasan bersejarah, khususnya di Kawasan Jalan Braga yang telah menerapkan konsep konservasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan menganalisis prinsip-prinsip konsep konservasi arsitektur di Kawasan Jalan Braga. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman penerapan prinsip-prinsip konservasi arsitektur dalam konteks kawasan bersejarah seperti Kawasan Jalan Braga. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi prinsip-prinsip konservasi berdasarkan Piagam Burra Charter melalui studi kasus Kawasan Jalan Braga. Melalui analisis studi kasus pada kawasan tersebut yang menerapkan konsep konservasi untuk menghidupkan kembali wilayahnya, penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam produktivitas kegiatan di kawasan tersebut sebelum dan setelah proses konservasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai implementasi prinsip-prinsip konservasi arsitektur dalam konteks kawasan bersejarah.Kata Kunci: konservasi arsitektur, kawasan, Jalan Braga ABSTRACT. Conservation refers to efforts to prevent damage and extend the life of buildings or historical areas. The goal is to preserve, repair, and reveal the history associated with the building or artifact. The conservation process involves measures to ensure that buildings or historical areas remain safe, secure, and have a secure future in their management. This is done with the intention of maintaining cultural significance in accordance with the physical conditions and local situation around the historical area. This study aims to understand the implementation of the principles of conservation architecture concept in historical areas, especially in the Braga Street Area which has applied the concept of conservation. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, which aims to describe and analyze the principles of conservation architecture concepts in the Braga Street Area. It is hoped that the results of this study can contribute to the understanding of the application of conservation architecture principles in the context of historical areas such as the Braga Street Area. The final result of this study explores the implementation of conservation principles based on the Burra Charter through a case study of the Braga Road Area. Through the analysis of case studies in the area that apply the concept of conservation to revive the area, this research shows a significant increase in the productivity of activities in the area before and after the conservation process. Therefore, this study provides an in-depth understanding of the implementation of conservation architecture principles in the context of historical areas.
