Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen character and environmental awareness among elementary school children through educational animated films. The activity was carried out at JARI 2 Elementary School, involving fourth and fifth-grade students as the main participants. The method included screening of animation films with character-building and environmental themes, interactive discussions, and reflective activities through drawing and storytelling. The selected films were chosen based on their moral values, environmental messages, and age-appropriateness. The results indicate that animated films successfully captured students’ attention, facilitated understanding of values such as responsibility, cooperation, and environmental care, and encouraged positive behavioral changes in daily life. Furthermore, there was a noticeable increase in students' active participation in maintaining school cleanliness and environmental preservation. This activity demonstrates that enjoyable and meaningful visual media can serve as an effective tool for early character education and environmental awareness.

Abstract

The issue of plastic bottle waste has become an increasingly urgent environmental concern, particularly due to the low awareness among the general public, including elementary school students. The lack of education on waste management worsens this condition. This community service activity aims to provide education and creative training for students of SDN 2 Jari in processing plastic bottle waste into useful flower pots. The implementation methods include socialization, training, and hands-on practice, all designed using a participatory and educational approach. The results of the activity show high enthusiasm from students and teachers, improved student understanding of the importance of recycling, and positive changes in the school environment. The student-created flower pots serve not only as a symbol of creativity but also as an educational tool to strengthen environmental awareness values.

Abstract

Jari Village, located in Gondang Subdistrict, Bojonegoro Regency, possesses significant geotourism potential through the presence of the Selo Gajah and Banyu Wedang Geosites. However, this potential has not yet been fully optimized. The Thematic Collaborative Community Service Program (KKN-TK) Group 06 of Bojonegoro University was conducted with the aim of enhancing tourism appeal through the creation of an informative and educational promotional video. The video production process consisted of three main stages-pre-production, production, and post-production-which included idea planning, filming, and final editing. The result was a two-minute video showcasing the natural beauty, geological uniqueness, and educational value of the geosites. The distribution strategy utilized social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, along with collaborations with various stakeholders to expand promotional reach. This initiative proved effective in increasing the visibility of Jari Village as a geotourism destination while supporting efforts in geosite conservation and sustainable management.
