<![CDATA[The man was created by God to praise and glorify His name in prostration and prayer as well as praise through worship. Worship in the Christian life is very important because it is the breath of life of the believer. One of the factors of spiritual growth is to know the essence of true worship, true and pleasing before God. The purpose of this article is to reflect the meaning of true worship theologically in the life of the believer according to the understanding of Romans 12:1. The meaning of true and pleasing worship before God makes the life of the believer closer to God and gives more priority to spiritual fellowship with those who follow Jesus. Worship is an expression of fear and respect and gratitude, praise, to God because He has loved, cared for, and saved His people from the punishment of sin. Abstrak Manusia diciptakan oleh Allah untuk memuji dan memuliakan nama-Nya dalam sujud dan doa serta puji-pujian melalui ibadah. Ibadah di dalam kehidupan orang Kristen sangat penting karena ibadah itu sebagai nafas hidup orang percaya. Salah satu faktor pertumbuhan rohani adalah mengenal hakekat ibadah yang benar, sejati dan yang berkenan di hadapan Allah. Tujuan artikel ini adalah merefleksikan makna ibadah sejati secara teologis dalam kehidupan orang percaya sesuai pemahaman Roma 12:1. Makna ibadah yang sejati dan yang berkenan di hadapan Allah, membuat hidup orang percaya lebih dekat dengan Tuhan dan lebih mengutamakan persekutuan rohani bersama orang-orang yang mengikut Yesus. Ibadah merupakan suatu ungkapan rasa takut dan hormat serta syukur, pujian, kepada Tuhan karena Dia telah mengasihi, memelihara dan menyelamatkan umat-Nya dari hukuman dosa.]]>
