Abstract

Introduction: Mother's milk is a good nutrient to protect babies against infection and prevent malnutrition because it contains important nutrients needed by the baby's body. Breast milk is the best natural nutrition for babies because it contains the energy and substances needed for the first six months of a baby's life. Breastfeeding is very important, but babies are still not getting exclusive breastfeeding.  Objective: To determine the relationship between mother's knowledge about breastfeeding and mother's behavior in providing exclusive breastfeeding in the Work Area of ??Technical Implementation Unit of the Public Health Center Barong Tongkok.  Methods: The design of this study used a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach, carried out in May 2022. The statistical test used is Chi Square if the t count (p value) < 0.05, then the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.  Results and Discussion: The statistical test of mother's knowledge about breastfeeding with mother's behavior in exclusive breastfeeding obtained a value of 0.003 <0.05.  Conclusion: There is a relationship between mother's knowledge about breastfeeding and mother's behavior in providing exclusive breastfeeding in the Work Area of ??Technical Implementation Unit of the Public Health Center Barong Tongkok

Abstract

Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang (MKJP), salah satunya IUD (Intra Uterine Device), masih memiliki angka pencapaian rendah. Pada wilayah kerja Puskesmas Long Ikis pengguna IUD tahun 2021 sebesar 351 orang dari sasaran pasangan usia subur sebanyak 4.951 orang, padahal penggunaan IUD jarang terjadi kebobolan hamil. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh informasi petugas kesehatan, paritas dan pendapatan keluarga terhadap minat menggunakan alat kontrasepsi IUD pada pasangan usia subur. Desain cross sectional. Populasi wanita usia subur di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Long Ikis tahun 2021 belum menggunakan IUD berjumlah 4.951 orang. Lemeshow sampel sebanyak 84 orang. Teknik sampling untuk mewakili sampel menggunakan proporsional random sampling dan dipilih menggunakan simple random sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji chi-square. Sebagian besar responden menyatakan informasi petugas kesehatan kurang baik (60,7%), paritas > 3 anak (61,9%), pendapatan keluarga seimbang antara sesuai UMR dengan tidak sesuai (50%), kurang berminat menggunakan alat kontrasepsi IUD (57,1%). Ada pengaruh informasi petugas kesehatan (p value : 0,009), paritas (p value : 0,047) dan pendapatan keluarga (p value : 0,001) terhadap minat menggunakan alat kontrasepsi IUD pada wanita usia subur. Informasi petugas kesehatan yang baik tentang IUD membuat responden mudah paham kelebihan IUD, semakin besar jumlah anak hidup semakin besar kemungkinan untuk membatasi kelahiran, pendapatan keluarga mempengaruhi penggunaan IUD yang memerlukan biaya terbilang mahal. Ada pengaruh informasi petugas kesehatan, paritas dan pendapatan keluarga terhadap minat menggunakan alat kontrasepsi IUD.
