Abstract

The understanding of Christology among Christians is often ambigued. Some believe that Jesus only had a divine nature without a human nature, while others believe that Jesus was just an ordinary man. Therefore, it is very important for believers to have a proper understanding of Jesus Christ, which is based on the truth of God's Word, so that their faith is firm and in accordance with the teachings of the Bible. In this article “Christology in the Gospel of John: Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life” can include the understanding that the Gospel of John emphasizes the identity of Jesus as the only way to salvation, the absolute truth, and the source of eternal life. In this context, Jesus is presented as the link between humanity and God, offering a deep understanding of spiritual and existential relationships. Through His statements, such as “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” the Gospel of John describes Jesus' mission of saving mankind and reveals God's loving nature.

Abstract

The development of church members serves as a crucial foundation for strengthening Christian ministry. This effort aims to nurture a congregation that is mature in faith, character, and service, enabling them to actively introduce Christ to the world. The church faces significant challenges in increasing congregational participation, particularly among the younger generation, who are often more focused on digital life. Therefore, continuous training is essential to fortify the faith of the congregation and prepare them to engage in Christian ministry. Effective training methods include fellowship, Bible teaching, mentoring, and social service. This development not only strengthens relationships among congregation members but also equips them to serve in various aspects of life. Through ongoing development, the church will produce a congregation that is strong in faith, active in ministry, and ready to face the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Covenant Theology is a systematic approach to understanding the Bible that is based on the structure of the covenants God established with His people. It interprets the overall narrative of Scripture as a series of divine interactions built through three main covenants: Covenant of Salvation, Covenant of Works, and Covenant of Grace. Beginning with God's initiative to bind Himself to humanity, covenants form the basis for redemptive relationships and communicate His will in salvation history. This covenant history includes covenants with figures such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses, and their fulfillment in Jesus Christ, who is at the center of the New Testament. In the Reformed context, Covenant Theology explains the role of the Triune God in the work of salvation and forms the foundation for important doctrines such as salvation by grace, the sacraments, and the life of the believer. As such, Covenant Theology provides a holistic framework for understanding the biblical narrative as the consistent and loving unity of God to His chosen people.
