Abstract

The ability to recognize the letters of the alphabet is one of the fundamental aspects in the development of early childhood literacy. This research is based on the results of observations by researchers in the field who show that recognizing the alphabet letters of children aged 4-5 years at TK As Shofa, Jambi City has not developed optimally. Based on the initial findings, it is known that out of 16 children, as many as 11 children are not optimal in recognizing the letters of the alphabet. This study aims to find out the extent of the influence of the use of smart box media in improving the ability to recognize the alphabet in children aged 4-5 years. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method, adopting a Pre -Experimental design with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The study population is group A children at TK As Shofa which totals 16 people, with sampling techniques using the saturated sampling method. The instrument used was in the form of an observation sheet, while the data analysis was carried out by hypothesis test using a paired samples test. The test results showed that the calculated t value of 25.564 was greater than the t of table 2.131 at the significance level of α = 0.05. This means that the use of smart box media has an effect on improving the ability to recognize the alphabet of children aged 4-5 years at TK As Shofa. Abstract

Mothers with young children are vulnerable to parenting stress due to the many demands and responsibilities they face, which extend beyond household tasks to childcare. Early childhood is often considered a challenging developmental stage because children are highly dependent on their parents while also seeking independence and exploring their environment. This condition can make children difficult to manage and prone to tantrums, which may increase emotional strain and stress in mothers. If parenting stress is not properly managed, it can negatively affect the well-being of the mother, the child, and the overall family environment. Islamic religiosity is often associated with coping mechanisms for stress because religious beliefs and practices can provide emotional support, guidance, and psychological comfort when individuals face difficult situations. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between Islamic religiosity and parenting stress among mothers with young children and to analyze the contribution of Islamic religiosity to parenting stress. This research used a quantitative method with convenience sampling involving 125 Muslim mothers who have children aged 2–6 years. The instruments used were the Muslim Religiosity Scale developed by Amir (2021) and the Parental Stress Scale developed by Berry and Jones (1995). Regression analysis showed a negative coefficient of -1.048 with an R-square value of 0.163, indicating that Islamic religiosity explains 16.3% of parenting stress.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the process of attaining ikhlas (sincere acceptance) among housewives who experience rejection from their husband’s family and its influence on their emotional condition and mental health. Rejection within family relationships can create psychological distress, including feelings of sadness, disappointment, being unappreciated, and social exclusion, which may affect self-perception, marital relationships, and overall well-being. This research used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to understand participants’ lived experiences in depth. Participants were selected through purposive sampling and consisted of housewives who had experienced rejection from their husband’s family. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that attaining ikhlas occurs gradually through several stages, including experiencing rejection, the emergence of negative emotions, efforts to find meaning in these experiences, and strengthening spiritual practices such as prayer (du’a), remembrance (dhikr), and trust in Allah (tawakkul). Ikhlas is understood as an active process of accepting reality, managing emotions more adaptively, and releasing expectations of acceptance. Participants who approached ikhlas reported greater inner calm and emotional stability, although not all were able to achieve full acceptance due to lingering emotional wounds and ongoing family conflict.

Abstract

Academic stress is a common psychological issue experienced by final-year university students, particularly in facing thesis completion and graduation requirements. This study aimed to examine the influence of self-regulated learning (SRL) and psychological well-being (PWB) on academic stress among final-year students. The research employed a quantitative approach with an Cross-Sectional design. The participants were final-year students who were in the process of completing their undergraduate thesis. A total of 90 students were selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through validated and reliable self-report questionnaires measuring academic stress, self-regulated learning, and psychological well-being. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicated that partially, self-regulated learning did not have a significant effect on academic stress (p > .05) with a contribution of 0.8% (R² = .008) and a negative direction. Similarly, psychological well-being did not show a significant effect on academic stress (p > .05) with a contribution of 0.2% (R² = .002) and a negative direction. Simultaneously, self-regulated learning and psychological well-being did not significantly predict academic stress, with a coefficient of determination of 1.3% (R² = .013), indicating that 98.7% of the variance in academic stress was influenced by other factors outside the research model.

Abstract

Devout worship is a spiritual condition that is closely related to psychology. This is very important foe married women because of the heavy roles and demand of domestic life which can trigger a decline in the quality of worship. This research aims to see the extent of the role of emotional regulation end the meaningfulness of life on devotion to worship in married women. The research methods with convenience sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using scales of emotional regulation, meaningfulness of life and devotion to worship which have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was tasted using multiple regression analysis. The result of the study interpret that emotional regulation and the meaning of life. Simultaneously have a positive role in devotion to worship. The findings from the results of this research mean that the better women are at regulating their emotions, the easier it will be to find meaning in their lives, so that they can also increase devotion in worship.
