<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Pantai Istana Amal merupakan salah satu Kawasan wisata yang ada di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara, dan merupakan Kawasan yang dinilai cukup strategis. Pantai Istana Amal masih mengalami Pembangunan dan pengembangan sehingga penyusunan elemen-elemen lanskap dinilai belum maksimal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas visual dari lanskap di Kawasan wisata Pantai Istana Amal dan menyediakan rekomendasi terhadap elemen-elemen lanskap. Pendekatan yang diterapkan dalam studi ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menilai hasil evaluasi pengunjung melalui metode SBE (Scenic Beauty Estimation). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai kualitas visual lanskap di Kawasan wisata Pantai Istana Amal berada pada kelas Sedang dengan nilai SBE 37 yang mana diperoleh dari median. Dapat disimpulkan, penerapan elemen-elemen lanskap pada kawasan wisata Pantai Istana Amal cukup baik tetapi belum optimal. Kata kunci: kualitas visual, elemen lanskap, scenic beauty estimation ABSTRACT Istana Amal Beach is one of the tourist attraction in Penajam Paser Utara regency, and located on the strategic place. Istana Amal beach is still undergoing development that the landscape elements is considered not optimal. Therefore, The goal of this research is to evaluate how appealing the scenery is at Istana Amal Beach tourist area and provide recommendations on landscape elements. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach, scrutinizing the outcomes of visitor evaluations derived from the Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) technique. The results of this study indicate the value of visual landscape quality in the Istana Amal Beach is in the moderate class with an SBE value of 37 which is obtained from the median. So that the state of the basic elements of forming the landscape in the Istana Amal Beach area has been able to be applied quite well but still not maximized.
