Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on improving students’ collaboration skills in Social Studies learning in Grade VIII at UPTD SMPN 1 Peusangan. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 64 eighth- grade students, evenly divided into two groups: 32 students in the experimental class who received treatment using the Project Based Learning model, and 32 students in the control class who received conventional learning. The data collection instrument used was a student collaboration skills questionnaire. Data analysis included normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results of hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), so H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the implementation of the Project Based Learning model on improving students’ collaboration skills in Social Studies learning in Grade VIII at UPTD SMPN 1 Peusangan.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial behavior, financial literacy, and financial management behavior on the financial well-being of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Lhokseumawe, Indonesia, with a particular focus on the mediating role of financial stress. This study is a quantitative study using a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 145 respondents (MSME owners) in Lhokseumawe. The data source comes from primary data obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is PLS-SEM with SmartPLS software. The results show that financial behavior and financial management behavior have a significant positive influence on financial well-being, while financial stress has a negative impact on financial well-being. Financial stress mediates the relationship between financial behavior and financial well-being, as well as between financial management behavior and financial well-being. These findings underscore the importance of promoting good financial practices and stress management among MSMEs to improve their financial well-being and contribute to local economic development.

Abstract

Keterampilan kolaborasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting abad ke-21 yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran, khususnya pada pembelajaran ekonomi yang menekankan kerja sama, pemecahan masalah, dan pengambilan keputusan kolektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) melalui desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Peusangan, yakni kelas VIII-7 sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan kelas VIII-4 sebagai kelompok kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket keterampilan kolaborasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok dengan nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. Siswa pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi yang lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, penerapan model PjBL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa dalam pembelajaran ekonomi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar model PjBL diterapkan secara berkelanjutan guna mendukung pengembangan keterampilan kolaborasi dan kompetensi abad ke-21.
