Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between Work-Related Extended Availability (WREA) and Perceived Organizational Support (POS) on Turnover Intention (TI) among Generation Z employees in Indonesia. The study also analyzes the mediating roles of Emotional Exhaustion (EMO) and Work Engagement (WE), as well as the moderating roles of POS and WREA in these relationships. A quantitative approach was employed through an online survey distributed via Google Forms. Data were collected using purposive sampling from 310 Generation Z employees working across various industrial sectors in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4 software. The findings indicate that WREA significantly increases EMO, which subsequently raises TI among Generation Z employees in Indonesia. Conversely, POS enhances WE and indirectly reduces TI. The moderating effect of WREA on the POS–WE relationship was significant, whereas the moderating effect of POS on the WREA–EMO relationship was not supported. This study extends the application of the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model within the context of Generation Z employees in Indonesia by simultaneously integrating mediation and moderation effects. Practically, organizations should limit WREA and strengthen support tailored to the digital needs of Gen Z employees to prevent emotional exhaustion and reduce turnover intention.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between digital literacy, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and intention to use tax technology in Indonesia, especially in the implementation of the Core Tax Administration System (CTAS) to be launched by Indonesian tax authority. The study employed a quantitative research design using a purposive sampling technique and collected from 122 respondents, who had Taxpayer Identification Number and used tax technology. The data analysis method used in this research is PLS-based SEM analysis (Partial Least Square). The measurement included four constructs: digital literacy, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and intention to use technology for tax. All constructs were measured using a five-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree, 5 = strongly agree). The results showed that digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on performance expectancy, digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on effort expectancy, performance expectancy has a positive and significant effect on intention to use technology for tax, effort expectancy has no significant effect on intention to use technology for tax, digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on intention to use technology for tax, digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on performance expectancy through intention to use technology for tax, digital literacy has no significant effect on effort expectancy through intention to use technology for tax. Originality/value - Low digital literacy in society is a challenge in the implementation of CTAS, which may affect taxpayers' intention to use this technology.

Abstract

Background: Payment system changes in transaction patterns need to be followed by business actors to survive and develop in facing the New Normal era. It is important for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to be able to adapt and transform by utilizing digital technology. Considering to Indonesia's large number of e-payment users, MSME players are heavily utilizing the payment option to construct a more effective and efficient payment system. However, not all MSME’s owner have the intention about using digital payments. This causes economic lagging, due to the shift in social transaction behavior from the physical economy to the virtual economy. Aim: The research would like to measure the use of technology acceptance model to evaluate MSME perspectives on e-payment system. Method: Concurrent mixed methodology, which is an analytical technique used in this study that integrates or affiliates qualitative and quantitative forms by providing a variety of sources of evidence, quantitative and qualitative data combined can contribute to enhancing the validity and reliability of the research findings. It can help to reduce the risk of bias or error that may arise from using only one method. As an outcome, we want to provide a thorough overview of the research problem. The population is MSMEs registered with Asosiasi Gula Rafinasi Indonesia (AGRI) of 980 MSMEs. With a target sample of 90 SMEs. Findings: The results of the Jaccard’s coefficient test show that all the variables tested have an influence on the MSME intends to use electronic payments as a way to make purchases.
