Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the level of self-concept in students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2020, Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta; 2) describe the level of interpersonal communication anxiety in students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2020, Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta; 3) analyze how much the relationship between self-concept and interpersonal communication anxiety in students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2020, Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta.The type of research is quantitative correlation. The research subjects were students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program class of 2020, Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta, totaling 115 students. This study used purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses a self-concept scale and an interpersonal communication anxiety scale.The results showed that: 1) 6 students (9.4%) had a very high level of self-concept, 28 students (43.8%) had a high level of self-concept, and 30 students (46.9%) had a moderate level of self-concept; 2) 1 student (1.6%) had a very high level of interpersonal communication anxiety, 16 students (25%) had a high level of interpersonal communication anxiety, 44 students (68.8%) had a moderate level of interpersonal communication anxiety, and 3 students (4.7%) had a low level of interpersonal communication anxiety; 3) There is a significant positive relationship between self-concept and interpersonal communication anxiety with the results of the Spearman's rho analysis test, namely rxy = 0.579 with a significance of p = 0.000 (p 0.05, so the level is significant). The results of this study are not in line with the hypothesis built so that it is discussed in the limitations of the study

Abstract

This research is a descriptive quantitative research which aims to: 1) Describe the level of academic procrastination in students of SMP Negeri 3 Yogyakarta for the 2021/2022 academic year. 2) Knowing the items in the academic procrastination questionnaire that are identified as high to be proposed as tutoring topics. The subjects in this study were 123 class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Yogyakarta for the academic year 2021/2022. The data collection in this study used a survey method by filling out a questionnaire of 39 valid items out of 50 items that had been made previously and had a Cronbach Alpha reliability index of 0.877. The scale is arranged based on aspects of academic procrastination, namely: (1) there are delays in starting or completing work on the task at hand. , (2) slowness in carrying out tasks, (3) time gap between plans and actual performance, (4) doing other activities that are more enjoyable than doing the tasks that must be done. The results of the study show that (1) the level of academic procrastination carried out by students of SMP Negeri 3 Yogyakarta for the 2021/2022 academic year tends to be at a moderate level, in more detail, including 4.87% in the high category, 60.97% in the medium category, 29.26 % in the low category, and 4.87% in the very low category. (2) the results of item analysis showed 4 items (10%) identified as high, in the medium category there were 17 items (44%), 18 items (46%) in the low category. Based on the items in the high and medium categories, it can be proposed as personal study guidance topics. The proposed guidance topic concerns all aspects of procrastination.

Abstract

Problems in academic life can make students become stressed until they decide to stop studying. Academic resilience is an individual's ability to persist in completing their education even under challenging conditions or unpleasant situations and solve an academic problem. The purpose of this study was to describe the academic resilience of final year students, Guidance and Counseling Study Program of Sanata Dharma University, Academic Year 2021/2022. The result showed that the academic resilience of final year students for the academic year 2021/2022 was in the high category with a percentage of 64,7%. Based on the items with low scores on the questionnaire, the researcher proposed several topics to improve academic resilience of the students.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are; 1) to know the level of self-regulated learning on Catholic Students of Southern Sumatra Community in Yogyakarta; 2) to know the level of academic stress of students on Catholic Students of Southern Sumatra Community in Yogyakarta 3) to find out the relationship between self-regulated learning and academic stress at Catholic Students of Southern Sumatra Community in Yogyakarta. This is a descriptive correlation research. The subjects in this study were 50 students from The Catholic Students of Southern Sumatra Community) who were studying in Yogyakarta. Data collection used: 1) The Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire with 16 valid items and has a Cronbach Alpha reliability index of 0.733; 2) The Academic Stress Questionnaire with 18 valid items and has a Cronbach Alpha reliability index of 0.887. The data analysis technique operated descriptive categorization technique and Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. The results showed that 3 students (6%) had the the highest level of selfregulated learning, 20 students (40%) high, 23 students (46%) moderate, 4 students (8%) low and there were no students (0 %) in the lowest category. Then 1 student (2%) had the highest level of academic stress, 12 students (24%) high, 33 students (66%) moderate, 4 students (8%) low and there were no students in the lowest category. Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient value is r = -0.389 with ρ =0.005 (ρ0.05). The result indicates that there is a significant negative relationship between self-regulated learning ability and student academic stress.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe the self-esteem level of Manggarai students studying in Yogyakarta; 2) describe the level of assertive behavior of Manggarai students studying in Yogyakarta; 3) Analyze the effect of self-esteem on assertive behavior in Manggarai students studying in Yogyakarta.This type of research uses quantitative. The research subjects were 40 students from Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara who studied in Yogyakarta. This research uses Purposive Sampling Technique. Data collection used a self-esteem scale (50 valid items α=0.942) and an assertive behavior scale (41 valid items α=0.882) which were tested on 30 Manggarai students, East Nusa Tenggara who studied in Yogyakarta. Data analysis techniques using descriptive categories and simple regression analysis.The results showed that 1) 6 students (8.6%) had a very high level of self-esteem, 16 students (22.9%) had a high level of self-esteem, 18 students (25.7%) had a moderate level of self-esteem, 28 students (40%) have low self-esteem, 2 students (2.9%) have low self-esteem; 2) 4 students (5.7%) had a very high level of assertive behavior, 5 students (7.1%) had a high level of assertive behavior, 29 students (41.4%) had moderate assertive behavior, 31 students (44.3 %) %) had low assertive behavior, and 9 students (22.5%) had very low assertive behavior; 3) there is a significant influence between selfesteem on assertive behavior with a significance value of 0.000 0.05. The coefficient of determination R Square is 0.473, this means that the effect of the independent variable (self-esteem) on the dependent variable (assertive behavior) is 47.3%
