Abstract

This study aims to describe the leadership of the principal of SMKS Rokita Sari 2 Bangun Purba in improving teacher performance. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews with the school principal. The interview questions focused on leadership vision, coaching strategies, academic supervision, motivation, and facilitation of teacher competence development. The results of the study show that the principal has a clear vision in directing teachers not only to implement the curriculum but also to prepare students for the world of work. The principal conducts regular supervision, provides simple appreciation for outstanding teachers, and supports teacher participation in training and workshops. These strategies have led to improved discipline, creativity, and professionalism among teachers. Thus, the leadership of the principal at SMKS Rokita Sari 2 Bangun Purba plays an important role in creating a conducive work environment to enhance the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of effective leadership in building a solid work team and driving organizational development. Through a literature review, this research finds that effective leadership plays a key role in determining organizational success. Effective leaders not only act as decision-makers but also as motivators, directors, and inspirations for team members. Strong leadership can create a positive work environment, improve performance, and build a solid work team. This study also emphasizes the importance of leadership, where leaders serve as role models, mentors, and drivers who build trust, communication, and teamwork. The results of this study can serve as a reference for organizational and educational leaders to improve leadership quality and organizational development.

Abstract

In the world of organizations, conflict is an unavoidable phenomenon, whether it arises among internal members or involves external parties. The problems we found after conducting research on the Gita Bahana Teladan Sei Rampah Marching Band included issues related to uneven member discipline, ineffective time management during events, limited facilities and funds to support activities, and misunderstandings between members and coaches due to poor communication. Therefore, leaders have a crucial role in directing conflict resolution so as not to disrupt the stability and productivity of the organization. This research aims to describe the role of leaders in resolving conflicts within the Gita Bahana Teladan Sei Rampah Marching Band organization using leadership models and types. The research method used by the researcher is a qualitative method based on observations and experiences. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. The output of this research is to describe the attitudes of marching band leaders in resolving conflicts effectively.

Abstract

Women in leadership roles have shown significant progress across various sectors, but still face challenges that hinder their career development. Key barriers include gender bias, limited access to guidance or mentorship, and unequal caregiving responsibilities. For example, women tend to be less likely to receive crucial early promotions to management, which determine their leadership career paths. Furthermore, the “glass cliff” phenomenon often occurs, where women are appointed to leadership positions during times of crisis, increasing the risk of failure. Nevertheless, women leaders possess unique strengths such as creativity, empathy, and collaborative skills that are invaluable in driving innovation and organizational success. Overcoming these barriers requires systemic changes in the form of equitable policies, mentorship opportunities, and a supportive work environment that allows women to realize their full leadership potential.

Abstract

Village head leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the performance quality of village officials. Democratic leadership emphasizes participation, openness, and two-way communication between the leader and subordinates. This study aims to identify how democratic village head leadership can improve village officials’ performance, particularly in discipline, responsibility, and work effectiveness. The research uses a literature review method based on relevant primary and secondary sources. The results show that democratic leadership enhances participation, strengthens coordination among village staff, and creates a harmonious and productive work environment. Therefore, democratic leadership can serve as an ideal model for improving local governance management systems in Indonesia.

Abstract

Perkembangan era digital membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap dinamika organisasi di berbagai sektor, mulai dari pendidikan, pemerintahan, hingga dunia bisnis. Dalam konteks ini, kepemimpinan transformasional dipandang sebagai model kepemimpinan yang tepat untuk menghadapi tantangan digitalisasi. Artikel ini bertujuan menelaah peran kepemimpinan transformasional dalam meningkatkan kinerja, keterlibatan pegawai, serta kesiapan organisasi dalam menghadapi era digital. Penelitian dilakukan melalui studi literatur dengan meninjau empat artikel ilmiah yang membahas hubungan kepemimpinan transformasional dengan digitalisasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan ini berkontribusi positif terhadap penguatan inovasi, peningkatan kinerja individu dan organisasi, serta kemampuan beradaptasi dengan teknologi digital. Temuan ini menekankan urgensi kepemimpinan yang mampu memberi inspirasi, memotivasi, serta memberdayakan anggota organisasi agar tetap tangguh dan berkembang di tengah disrupsi digital.
