Abstract

This study investigates the bankruptcy risk of e-commerce technology companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over the 2022–2024 period. A quantitative approach was used, supported by a descriptive research design. The study relies on secondary data obtained from the companies’ published historical financial statements. Bankruptcy risk was evaluated using three prediction models, namely the Altman Z-Score, Springate, and Zmijewski models, to compare how each model assesses the financial condition of the companies under study. The sample consists of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk, and PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk. The findings reveal differences in the bankruptcy classifications generated by the three models. PT Bukalapak.com Tbk is identified as being in a relatively safe position based on the Altman Z-Score and Zmijewski models, whereas the Springate model categorizes the company as being in the bankruptcy zone in 2023 and 2024. In the case of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk, most of the models indicate continued signs of financial distress. PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk also presents contrasting results, as the Altman Z-Score and Springate models place the company in the bankruptcy zone, while the Zmijewski model indicates a safe financial condition. The differences in these results demonstrate that each prediction model has a distinct sensitivity to financial indicators, particularly those related to capital structure, liquidity, leverage, operational efficiency, and profitability. The findings suggest that bankruptcy prediction models can help management, investors, and creditors assess a company’s financial health and going concern.

Abstract

Abstract

The construction industry faces major challenges in managing material inventory, particularly among start-up companies that still rely on paper-based manual records. Such practices often lead to data inconsistencies, delays in decision-making, and project inefficiencies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a cloud-based and real-time inventory management system utilizing spreadsheets at PT X, a start-up contractor located in Karanganyar, Central Java. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with finance staff, logistics administration staff, and the project manager, as well as documentation of material inflows and outflows. The findings reveal that the use of cloud-based spreadsheets enhances data transparency, facilitates real-time monitoring between field and office, and accelerates stock opname validation. The system also supports more responsive decision-making regarding material reordering and request postponements. Nevertheless, several obstacles remain, including limited digital literacy among staff, potential input errors, and reliance on internet connectivity. Theoretically, this research contributes to the literature on accounting information systems and inventory management in small-scale construction sectors. Practically, it demonstrates that low-cost cloud solutions can improve operational efficiency and serve as a foundation for developing more integrated systems in the future.

Abstract

Construction firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2022 to 2024 serve as the focus for investigating how financial distress and firm size impact audit delay, utilizing a quantitative framework anchored in multiple linear regression analysis. Secondary data sourced from the companies' financial statements underpin this examination, where financial distress receives measurement via the Zmijewski model and firm size finds proxy through the natural logarithm of total assets. The timeliness of financial reporting directly tied to audit delay holds paramount importance, as delays compromise information quality available to stakeholders. Partial tests reveal no significant effects from either financial distress or firm size on audit delay, a pattern echoed in simultaneous assessments showing joint insignificance of these variables. Such outcomes point to external influences outside the modeled scope, notably operational complexity, auditor quality, and procedural technicalities in auditing, as primary drivers of delays. For practitioners, these insights underscore the necessity of bolstering internal operational efficiencies alongside enhanced auditor collaborations to expedite financial disclosures. Subsequent investigations ought to incorporate further pertinent variables, fostering deeper and more holistic insights into the phenomenon.
