<![CDATA[Berdasarkan survey APJII, Sumatera Barat terdaftar sebagai daerah dengan pengguna internet terbanyak di Sumatera dengan remaja sebagai penyumbang terbanyak. Penggunaan internet sejalan dengan pengggunaan smartphone dan hal tersebut membawa dampak positif dan dapak negatif. Salah satu dampak negatif yang tampak adalah munculnya perilaku phubbing, selain penggunaan smartphone munculnya perilaku phubbing juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya salah satunya yaitu boredom proneness. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah boredom proneness mempengaruhi tingkat perilaku phubbing pada remaja di Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regeresi linear sederhana. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan 361 remaja di Sumatera Barat dengan rentang usia 17-21 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara boredom proneness terhadap tingkat perilaku phubbing pada remaja di Sumatera barat, hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil distribusi koefisien determinan RSquare sebesar 53%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa boredom proneness memberikan pengaruh terhadap tingkat perilaku phubbing sebesar 53%. Kata Kunci: Boredom Proneness, Phubbing, Remaja Abstract Based on the APJII survey, West Sumatra is listed as the region with the most internet users in Sumatra with teenagers as the largest contributor. The use of the internet is in line with the use of smartphones and this has positive and negative impacts, one of the negative impacts that can be seen is the emergence of phubbing behavior, in addition to the use of smartphones, the emergence of phubbing behavior is also influenced by other factors, one of which is boredom proneness. This study was conducted to determine whether boredom proneness affects the level of phubbing behavior in adolescents in West Sumatra. This study uses a quantitative method with a simple linear regression analysis method. This study was conducted involving 361 adolescents in West Sumatra with an age range of 17-21 years. The results showed a significant influence between boredom proneness on the level of phubbing behavior in adolescents in West Sumatra, this is indicated from the distribution of the RSquare coefficient of determination of 53%.
