Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education at Charen Wittaya Nusorn School, Southern Thailand, through data collection on teachers and students, and to compare it with character education in Indonesia, in terms of curriculum, graduate dimensions, and teacher and student character. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, using the Miles & Huberman data analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The research data were obtained from observations of the First Learning Outcome Program (PLP I), interviews with teachers and students, and a review of current literature related to character education in Southern Thailand and Indonesia. The results indicate that teachers at Charen Wittaya Nusorn School play a significant role in instilling religious, disciplined, and social character through the integration of the Thai national curriculum with Islamic education. Student data collection revealed a pattern of high discipline, adherence to school rules, and active involvement in religious and extracurricular activities. The comparative analysis indicates similarities in the orientation of both countries in developing 21st-century morals and skills, but differences emerge in the proportion of the curriculum and value orientation: Thailand emphasizes loyalty to the kingdom and Islam, while Indonesia emphasizes Pancasila values and diversity.
