Abstract

Learning independence is an active and positive process in which students set learning goals and work to track, manage, and control their motivation, behavior, and thinking processes with the help of goals and their surroundings. Self-efficacy is an individual's ability to evaluate themselves in facing problems or tasks that need to be completed. Self-efficacy plays an important role in supporting students in mastering mathematics. This research uses a quantitative method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire with closed statements consisting of both positive and negative statements. Based on the correlation between self-efficacy and student learning independence, this study will explore its influence through regression, with the aim of understanding the impact of self-efficacy on student learning independence. In analyzing the influence of self-efficacy on student learning independence, regression analysis will be applied. the regression equation obtained is Ya+bX or 23.116+0.748X. The positive constant value of 23.116 indicates a positive influence of the independent variable (self-efficacy). If the independent variable increases or has an effect by one unit, then the variable of learning independence will increase or be fulfilled. The regression coefficient X of 0.748 indicates that if self-efficacy (X) increases by one unit, then learning independence (Y) will increase by 0.748 or 74.8%. This is shown by comparing rhitung and rtabel at a 5% significance level (0.610 0.3061), which indicates that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it is concluded that self-efficacy significantly affects students' learning independence in mathematics subjects at the senior high school level. To what extent variable X affects variable Y is 0.372. Variable X has an influence of 37.2% on variable Y. Other factors not covered in this study impact the remaining 62.8%.
