Hadith based on its narration has a history that since the Prophet Muhammad saw. still alive, not a few of the companions who already have notes in their respective sahifah. In addition, not a few also memorized it but, in the transmission of hadiths by the Prophet Muhammad saw., sometimes they were general and open, as in the form of sermons by the Prophet Muhammad saw. and in the form of certain meetings, but apart from that, it is also not uncommon for them to be carried out individually (in front of only one or two people). When viewed in terms of the number of narrators who narrated the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad saw. from generation to generation, its position is mutawatir as well as the narration of the Qur'an, so that the narrators who narrated hadith according to custom could not agree to lie and the number of hadiths they narrated was not large. While the transmission of hadith that has reached us now is individual or ahad in nature, seen from the point of view of its transmission, its position as the truth of the transmission is still in the status of conjecture. Mutawatir hadiths have a higher narration than and ahad. Because the hadiths on Sunday are numerous and the forms of narration vary, the hadith scholars are trying hard to divide them up again so that it can be known which hadiths are strongly suspected of originating from the Prophet Muhammad saw., and which are quite predictable of originating from the Prophet Muhammad saw. and which ones are doubtful and which are clearly not from the Prophet Muhammad saw. The conditions for a hadith to be classified as a mutawatir hadith are: first, the hadith delivered by the narrators must be obtained from the Prophet based on confident sensory responses (truly the result of his own hearing and sight), second: narrated by a large number of narrators who do not allow they agreed to lie, third: there is a balance between the narrators in the first thabaqat (generation) and the next thabaqat. Meanwhile, ahad hadith is a hadith whose narrators do not reach the number of mutawatir hadith narrators.
