This study aims to analyze the role of agricultural accounting in supporting sustainable agriculture in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. Sidenreng Rappang Regency is one of the food production centers in South Sulawesi Province, which holds a significant contribution to national food security. Amid the demands for increasing productivity and sustainability in the agricultural sector, the existence of accounting information serves as an instrument that can assist farmers in managing their farming activities more effectively and responsibly. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature reviews related to agricultural accounting and sustainable agriculture. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that agricultural accounting contributes to supporting agricultural sustainability through three main aspects: economic, social, and environmental. From the economic perspective, farm record-keeping helps farmers control costs and improve business efficiency. From the social aspect, accounting encourages transparency and accountability in the management of farmer groups. Meanwhile, from the environmental perspective, accounting information can serve as a basis for managing resource utilization more prudently. However, the implementation of agricultural accounting still faces constraints, including low accounting literacy, limited human resources, and insufficient extension support for farmers. Therefore, support from the government, agricultural extension workers, and educational institutions is required to enhance the understanding and application of agricultural accounting in order to realize sustainable agriculture.
