Abstract

Increasing of Chili production can be apply with various of methodologies one of them  by giving treatment to chili crop. Among of general practice treatment  done by several of  farmer is using  waters bud sealing growth in chili crop leaf axillary. Sealing is the effort or removal activity of waters bud which growth from leafs axillary. This bud is not productive and will distrubes absolute growth. Therefore, lateral bud ough  to seal and removal. The aim of this research to investigate the effectiveness of sealing red chili crop (Capsicum annum L.) production, and to identfy the effect of the big red chili (Capsicum annum L.) quality. This research carried out on february- june  2018 at Krajan, Ampel, Wuluhan, Jember, Jawa Timur. This research occur during 4 month begind on february - june  2018, totally consist of four treatments one control by three times of examined, in each treatment AO= Sealing as Control 0%, Al= 25% Sealing, A2= Sealing 50%, A3= Sealing 75%, A4= Sealing 100%.  This testing conducted by F- test is using variant  analysing (ANOVA) if occur the signficant effect it  will continue with  5% Duncan test. Based on ANOVA test  that has been done that sealing concern on big red chili crop is not obvious on the effect of observation parameter for instance (high of plant, fruit weigh, amount of fruit, longevity of flowering) and has the obvious effect observation parameter of harvesting longevity.

Abstract

Beans is a legume vegetable that has benefits and is good for health, and is a rich source of protein. One of the efforts made to improve the quality of bean production is the provision of fertilizers that can support the growth and development of bean plants. Balanced fertilization results in higher returns in agriculture cultivation (Adam. 1987). Beans contain 2.4 g protein, 0.2 g fat, 7.7 g carbohydrates, as a source of calories and 6.5 g calcium, 4.4 g phosphorus, 1.1 g iron, 630 mg vitamin A, vitamins B1 0.08 mg, vitamin B2 0.01, vitamin B3 0.7 mg, vitamin C 1.90 mg, calories 35 cal and water content 89 grams which greatly affect the quality of public health (Waluyo and Djuria., 2013). This research was conducted from December 2021 to February 202, in Pancakarya Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency, East Java. This study used a factorial pattern consisting of two factors with four replications in a randomized block design (RAK). The first factor is population (P) which consists of a population (P1) 2 plants, and a population (P2) 3 plants. The second factor is the combination of fertilization (I) which consists of a combination of (I0) control, a combination of (I1) PSB Bacterial Culture + NPK Fertilizer, and a combination (I2) PSB Bacterial Culture + Complete Fertilizer. The collected data were analyzed by means of variance (Anova), if significantly different, then followed by BNT’s test of 5%. The result showed that the Population (P) dan Combination (I) treatments on the growth of plant height, number of branches, internode length, and weight fruit.

Abstract

Sekam padi merupakan limbah hasil sampingan dari kegiatan penggilingan padi yang jumlahnya cukup melimpah, namun pemanfaatannya hingga saat ini masih belum dilakukan secara optimal. Sebagian besar limbah sekam selama ini hanya dibuang atau dibakar, yang berdampak pada pencemaran lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang untuk memberikan solusi melalui pelatihan pengolahan sekam padi menjadi arang sekam sebagai upaya meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat sekaligus mengurangi limbah pertanian. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan aplikatif, meliputi tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan arang sekam, serta pendampingan manajemen produksi dan pemasaran. Temuan kegiatan menunjukkan adanya perkembangan yang berarti dalam kemampuan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para peserta setelah mengikuti program, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan tingkat ketuntasan dari 45% pada pre-test menjadi 88% pada post-test. Peserta mampu melakukan proses pembakaran dengan teknik yang benar, menghasilkan arang sekam berkualitas baik, serta memahami potensi ekonominya sebagai produk bernilai jual. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil menumbuhkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan limbah pertanian secara berkelanjutan dan berbasis lingkungan. Program ini dinilai berhasil karena mampu mendorong masyarakat untuk mandiri, kreatif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan pendapatan berbasis sumber daya lokal.
