Abstract

This study examines the resilience of the halal industry in Indonesia against fluctuations in Islamic macroeconomic variables and consumption patterns during Ramadan using a quantitative approach based on the Error Correction Model (ECM). Secondary data were obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the National Committee for Islamic Economy and Finance (KNEKS), and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) over a ten-year period (2015–2024). The data were collected quarterly, resulting in 40 observations. The estimation results indicate that in the short term, the Halal Industry Resilience Index, Indonesia Sharia Stock Price Index, Rupiah exchange rate against the gold dinar, Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS), Halal Food Price Index, and changes in demand for halal products during Ramadan positively contribute to the resilience of the halal industry. In contrast, the Sharia Financial Index and household consumption expenditure in the halal sector have a negative impact due to the shift of funds toward the Islamic financial sector andconsumption that is not matched by production. In the long term, exchange rate stability, the distribution of ZIS, and the growth of Islamic stocks are the key factors in maintaining the resilience of the halal industry. These findings align with the halal supply chain theory and Islamic economics, which emphasize economic justice and sustainability. Therefore, optimizing the distribution of Islamic social funds, enhancing supply chain efficiency, and promoting innovation and digitalization are necessary to improve the competitiveness of Indonesia’s halal industry. This study is the first to introduce and empirically examine both the short-term and long-term effects of variables that have not previously been tested together in the context of halal industry resilience.

Abstract

This community service program was implemented to address the low level of digital marketing skills among young entrepreneurs of Karang Taruna in Paji Village, which has hindered the optimal development of local business potential. The program focuses on strengthening participants’ abilities in utilizing electronic commerce and social media as platforms for promoting village products. The purpose of this program is to improve participants’ skills in creating online stores, applying product image-building strategies, and developing digital content-based promotion. The approach used includes basic training on digital marketing concepts, direct assistance to ensure the practical application of skills in managing online marketing accounts, and evaluation of program outcomes. The program resulted in improved participant capabilities in creating online stores, producing promotional content, and establishing community-based marketing networks. The impact of the activities is reflected in the expanded marketing reach and strengthened identity of local products, although several challenges such as differences in technological proficiency and limited internet access were still encountered.

Abstract

Pelepah pisang adalah salah satu bahan baku lokal yang banyak tersedia di Bojonegoro, tetapi pemanfaatannya masih terbatas dan belum memberikan nilai ekonomi yang besar. Kebanyakan keluarga pengrajin hanya menjual pelepah dalam bentuk mentah atau memakainya secara sederhana, sehingga belum banyak membantu meningkatkan penghasilan rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pendapatan keluarga pengrajin melalui pendampingan usaha yang berfokus pada inovasi produk kerajinan dari pelepah pisang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan model partisipatif dan demonstratif, mencakup observasi awal, pelatihan produksi, pengembangan desain, serta bantuan dalam pemasaran secara offline dan online. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dalam proses pengolahan, produksi, hingga pemasaran produk kerajinan. Selain itu, nilai ekonomi pelepah pisang meningkat dari bahan mentah menjadi produk siap dijual. Keluarga pengrajin juga mendapatkan keterampilan baru yang bisa dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan untuk mendukung pengembangan ekonomi kreatif lokal. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pemanfaatan pelepah pisang secara optimal melalui pendampingan usaha dapat menjadi alternatif pemberdayaan ekonomi bagi keluarga pengrajin di Bojonegoro. Temuan ini penting karena menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan baku lokal bisa meningkatkan pendapatan serta mendorong kemandirian ekonomi yang didasari oleh masyarakat itu sendiri.
