Abstract

Abstrak: Aktivitas pembakaran sampah berpotensi menimbulkan pencemaran udara, yang berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kualitas udara. Pengolahan sampah daun kering menjadi pupuk merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengurangi bahaya pencemaran udara yang ditimbulkan dari aktivitas pembakaran. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis persepsi, pengetahuan, dan pengalaman masyarakat Desa Kenteng terhadap pengolahan sampah daun kering menjadi pupuk. Program dilaksanakan dalam tiga kegiatan, yaitu penyampaian materi dan diskusi, pelatihan pembuatan pupuk, dan pembagian angket. Berdasarkan interpretasi hasil angket pre-test dan post-test yang dibagikan sebelum dan setelah kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan menampilkan persepsi, pengetahuan, dan pengalaman yang berbeda. Tingkat persepsi, pengetahuan, dan pengalaman masyarakat mengenai pengelolaan sampah daun kering mencapai 91,8% dari persentase awal sebesar 69,3%. Secara umum, hasil program edukasi dan pelatihan pengolahan sampah daun kering menjadi pupuk yang diselenggarakan oleh Tim UNNES GIAT 6 mampu mengubah serta meningkatkan persepsi, pengetahuan, dan pengalaman masyarakat untuk mengelola dan memanfaatkan lingkungan dengan bijak.Abstract: Waste burning activity has the potential to cause air pollution, which affects on reducing air quality. Processing dry leaf waste into fertilizer is one solution to reduce the danger of air pollution caused by burning activities. The purpose of research to analyzing perceptions, knowledge, and experiences of Kenteng communities against dry leaf waste processing into fertilizer. The program is implemented in three activities, namely transfer of material and discussions, training in making fertilizer, and distribution of questionnaires. Based on the interpretation of the results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires distributed before and after educational and training activities, they show different perceptions, knowledge, and experiences. The level of community perception, knowledge, and experience regarding the processing of dry leaf waste into fertilizer reached 91.8% from the initial percentage of 69.3%. In general, the results of the education and training program for processing dry leaf waste into fertilizer carried out by the UNNES GIAT 6 Team were able to change and increase people's perceptions, knowledge, and experience in managing and utilizing the environment wisely.Keywords: Air Pollution; Compost Fertilizer; Dried Leaves
